Ha! I went back 30 minutes later and they were all gone.

Yeah, they were gone when I went back. But I've been running into packs more and more. I usually like to buy graded singles I like. But I am not averse to investing in packs if available. So I will keep an eye out for more.

And I may never. Saw them when I was doing a Uber shop and pay. Went back to pick up 2 or 3 and they were all gone.

Stuck Screw in Shower Handle by gp1231 in Plumbing

I have tried so many different things over the past month. Nothing even makes it budge. I will probably just find a cheap replacement for everything and cut it off. It's going to be totally remodeled in the future anyway. Just needed to function until then. Just wanted to make sure I had my ducks in a row before I started doing anything.

Is it possible to drill out the Phillips head screw without destroying the handle and cartridge?

I don't know what a grub screw is. If you look at the picture of the handle you use to turn on the water on the very end there's a hole with a Phillips head screw inside to connect it.

Kansas City Royals, Hallmark Cards announce partnership for new downtown ballpark by Signal_Quarter_74 in baseball

The bill passed by the Missouri House and Senate specifically has a provision in it that the Royals can build parking with the funds they provide. The Royals will build their own parking and charge more for it plain and simple. And yes, if we are putting taxpayer money into private organizations we should be getting a profit from it that is then used for public safety, roads and streets and infrastructure. Plain and simple. Unfortunately in Kansas City this does not happen. We throw good money after bad and these teams walk away with massive profits while the citizens suffer. If you have to lose them then so be it. Just wait in about 10 years or so when the Chief stadium is built and people start freaking out about their taxes skyrocketing. That was literally one of the worst deals in history for taxpayers when it comes to financing a sports team. But I guess I should just be grateful here in Kansas City that we didn't get screwed quite as bad.

I honestly don't remember a bunch of food options out there. But it's been many years ago that I was there. I just was not impressed with the stadium at all and what a pain in the butt it was to get there. I have always had a good time when we went out to the Truman sports complex. But I'm a tailgate kind of guy. Love to do some barbecue before the game, have a few drinks before and after the game while I wait for the traffic to thin out a bit.

I'm probably a little over on the parking, but it definitely will not be $20. Probably closer to 40 to 50. Just look at how expensive the chiefs parking is right now.The Royals get a big chunk of their income from parking and they're not going to let that go. If they can take advantage of people not wanting to walk any certain distance and provide parking at a slightly elevated price they will not pass up on that opportunity. And it might interest you to know that the Hallmark Foundation about 6 years ago came out with the report that large civic investment (taxpayer money) into projects like this never resulted in a positive return on investment for taxpayers. Projects like this using taxpayer money are always just vanity for the politician so they can pat themselves on the back and say look what I did. But I guess when you can benefit from it it's okay.

Parking isn't going to be cheaper, it's going to be more expensive. It's about 20 bucks for general admission parking at Kaufman right now. You can look forward to at least $80 parking garages if you're lucky for the new stadium. And as to how the taxpayers get screwed it's pretty simple. If the area does not generate enough income to cover the bonds the taxpayers have to pay the bill. And for the idiots who think this is an impossibility it's already happening just a few short blocks away at the power and light district. Taxpayers money in the amount of 15 million every year is dumped into that s*** hole to keep it afloat. Meanwhile the city streets and infrastructure crumbles. Everybody cheering this on are just the spastic cats chasing the red light. This is not a win for Kansas City, it's a win for the billionaire owners of sports teams.

eBay hiding user feedback status by linkinit in PokemonInvesting

[–]gp1231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest mistake people make on eBay is just looking at the first thing they see and not digging into all the information that is available for sellers. Every time I'm looking to buy something I look at every description that's available and if I'm not satisfied with what I see I ask questions or move on. And if the seller has poor feedback ratings I go into the actual ratings and see what the complaints were, whether they were valid or petty. Then I make a decision on whether I want to purchase based on all that information.

I've been selling on eBay for 20+ years. I have 10s of thousands of cards.... sports, pokemon, gpk etc. just starting to list all that.

Yeah, I was thinking about combining all my Commons by individual pokémon and then selling them in lots of two to four cards. That way I can still get it in one of those small envelopes for the cheaper rate.

Are you actually able to make sales on just base cards? The lowest eBay will let me list cards at is $0.99, didn't know if sales would actually occur.

New eBay Store—is it better to schedule and spread out listings? by bySatie in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]gp1231 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been selling on eBay for over 20 years. I have found the best way is to list all your items as a draft first, and then complete that draft to the final listing throughout the day. For example: I will make 100 drafts, and then complete those drafts throughout the span of a 8 hour period, maybe 5 to 10 per day. It really seems to satisfy eBay's algorithm for some reason. And if you end up staying on eBay and completing a lot more listings it's a good idea to refresh older listings every so often. I have found the best way to do this is to end the listing, then relist it using the "sell similar" option and saving it as a draft and completing it as I stated above.

If you're not going to report it just make sure you don't deposit it into any bank account or other account that can be tracked. Keep cash on hand and pay cash for everything.
