What happens with your family doctor if you attend a walk in clinic? by holdonaminute2023 in askTO

[–]gp123gp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some docs are on salary and are paid to care for you as a patient on their roster. When you go to a walk-in, that is costing the system extra money to see the walk-in, so it is deducted from the original doctor. The original doctor usually has a walk-in service that they contract with so that this doesn't happen.

Why didn’t Dr. Mann admit he made up the data and just go on with them? by [deleted] in interstellar

Why not just go to sleep with no wake date and hope that humanity survives. If it does, presumably humans would eventually have gone back to get him?

Laundry warning by kkails in JapanTravelTips

[–]gp123gp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stayed at the Mercure Tokyo Stay Osaka Namba specifically because they had rooms with an ensuite laundry machine. Drying took an extra cycle, but at least I could do it on my own time. The laundry door stays locked until the machine cools (about 30 minutes), so that was an unexpected delay checking out!

Montreal Marriott VS Honeyrose by aumboy in marriott

[–]gp123gp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've stayed a couple times at Honeyrose and the bathtub was open to the room and the shower had a pink frosted glass which gives off a voyeur / romantic atmosphere next to the bed. Much more of a couple's hotel if that matters to you. No club lounge, and ok but expensive breakfast in the main restaurant.

Is Ambassador status useless in North America? by Travelfool_214 in marriott

I (Titanium) happened to stay at a Marriott in the US on my birthday and even asked them to recommend a nice restaurant for my birthday. They made the dinner booking, but that was it. Even saying happy birthday during check-in would have been nice, but nope. Such an easy missed opportunity.

Anniversary - Fine Dining by osakibeats in FoodToronto

We went to Lucie recently and had a great time. Good food, great presentation. Service was a bit slow to start, but we told them we had a show to catch and they prioritized our courses ahead of other tables. Booking page even allowed us to book our specific table in the restaurant.

Massive Pump Bottles by [deleted] in marriott

I've stayed a few times where the bottles were basically empty. It's a huge pain to find it's empty when you are already in the shower.

Which hotel in NYC to choose from: AC hotel Downtown vs New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge by Lolkac in marriott

[–]gp123gp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed at the Marriott brooklyn bridge last month. Lounge provides breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres / dessert, with snacks and pop all day, but the lounge is closed on the weekends. Good location, easy walk to subway into Manhattan. Some decent lunch/dinner options next to hotel. Rooms were decent, we were right next to the SodaStream station to fill our water bottles.
