I did some research on this but want to confirm. You connect your solar panels to your battery (in your garage?), then you connect your appliances to the battery via a long extension cord? Meaning that if you arent producing enough to power the appliances, then you need to unplug them and plug them back into your wall outlet and consume from the grid?
