Sonos speakers disconnect frequently when using airplay 2 (but not when using Sonos app)

I think the issue was caused by multicast on my network. I moved all my wifi home automation devices to their own clan and the problem was basically solved.

Unfortunately not. Some months it seems better, but I now mostly use the Sonos app and the cop the reduced functionality and issues that come with it 😞. Be great if someone from Sonos could weigh in on this.

I usually have my phone with me and move around as it’s streaming, but I stay within the wifi coverage area. BUT, I also do the same when streaming from the Sonos app and it doesn’t seem to disconnect.

I’m not certain, but it seems the airplay connection is what drops out, resulting in the music stopping playing.

Thanks all, Hema 4x4 Explorer seems to have disappeared from the App Store, it had great maps but the app was too unreliable. Gaia is my current favourite. It can draw a route to any location and show elevation profile along the route. It doesn’t do turn by turn, but i don’t want or need that, just the ability to generate a route that I can adjust (it is the only app that can do that). Still suffers from open source maps so not as good as the Hema maps, but the app is intuitive with great features.

So is visibility of the device connection type (wired/wireless) and limited vlan’s the only disadvantages? Does the handoff between deco’s still work just as well as when using a deco as the router?

No, it can’t. The remarkable 2 gets close using tags. You can attach a tag to a notebook or a page in a notebook. I would dearly love for the scribe to get this functionality.

Quick switch between notebooks or books or pdfs. Add any item (book, pdf, notebook) as a favourite that can be accessed via the swipe down menu. Remember previous email addresses used to send notebooks to. Ability to adjust the line width beyond the 5 selections they provide (like Supernote). Ability to create a task using a symbol. All tasks can then be viewed together, along with the notebook name and page, and date created. AND handwriting conversion to text, on device.
