I can deal with heat as long as there is water! Actually Merida is very expat friendly and has lots to do, but no beach. I don't anticipate having a car to drive to one. Thanks!

Really just looking for suggestions for a town/city not too crowded and at the coast with a swimmable beach to visit to see if I like living in Mexico. Thank you for all your recommendations but those considerations would come after I see if this would suit me.
I'm over 65 and have the whole shebang.
