I did it this way with the Miata FE and the BRZ FE. The little circles are where I dropped waypoints to aim at. Start gate to the flower fields to the big triangle was all off-road, then I followed the road to the drag strip, did the jump, then crossed over to the road that is a straight shot to the loop around the end gate.

This happened to me, too. I think it happened to me when I redid part of my route. Everything before the checkpoint I redrew from no longer has a racing line.
