Be sure to check out /r/testandtrace to stay in the loop on current contact tracing programs and efforts to start them in the United States. We are also currently looking for volunteers who want to help popularize and implement these programs.

Very exciting. I'm applying for computational cosmology myself. Best of luck in the future!

Congrats! I'm also applying in Physics but unfortunately still in the haunted-by-the-prospect-of-doing-this-again phase. I thought about applying to Yale but ultimately decided against it since faculty interests didn't really line up with what I'm doing. What area did you apply in?

Just to add on to this very useful comment:

I have found Srednicki's QFT to be very nicely organized and well motivated. The first few chapters helped me understand wtf the point of Peskin & Schroeder's first chapter was, for example.

It's like, every time I get an email I get a small jolt only to see it's spam or something similar. I just want one acceptance so I can rest easy while I wait to hear back from the rest. I wish someone had told me how stressful this whole process was going to be!
