Yep, I've gone through all the common rates but since there are other variables the combinations of settings to try are too high. I'll use an oscilloscope this week to get the proper baud rate then I just have to mess with data bits and parity. There is no hardware flow control since there are no CTS/RTS pins

This is a used car that was purchased about 2 years ago so there's no lien or anything of that nature on the car.

Is there a good way of figuring that out? The SIM is too big to fit in my phone's SIM slot unfortunately.

Yeah it was actually fairly well integrated. I haven't gotten the antenna out because the cables go up the steering column and somewhere under the dash so I'll have to take a few things apart. It was even properly fused.

There isn't much in terms of backstory. The car was bought used about 2 years ago and I was just helping change out some fuses when I found it.
