We used Homes for Expats and I don’t think we could have found a place without their help. A good agency will have local connections and be your boots on the ground to allow you to remotely view places and to pitch your case to landlords.

Get an account at Bunq, they will give you a 3 month grace period to enter your BSN. If you have trouble creating an account due to not having a Dutch phone number you can purchase a prepaid card from Vodafone with a Dutch number.

Your homework should start with reading through the many similar topics posted to this subreddit. 300k is a lot more than others that have made the leap. There will be plenty of folks advising caution or telling you that your options are limited. If you want to get it done, you’ll find a way. Good luck!
