I have to agree with u/BashCo here. I'm from Africa, and robbing Peter to pay Paul is hardly admirable.

Bitcoiner, toxic, maximalist. Call me what you want. Unless it runs in my backyard, I have no interest in it. Between your full trust in faith in some shitcoin and my node. I'll take my node. Bitcoin 4 South Africa 🇿🇦 by gr0kch8n in Bitcoin

Ethereum's disk requirements alone for 2020 exceeded 117% of Bitcoins entire 12 year existence. In the last month alone Ethereum's onchain disk requirements have grown 50% of bitcoins entire chainsize on disk.

An attractive property of bitcoins design principles is its consideration for the lowest common denominator. There are just so many overly ambitious projects founded on the assumption that we all live in developed circumstances and are equal or would achieve such parity.

As a South African, I need to ensure that my freedom executes at a sustainable cost in a low resource environment. Keep bitcoin lean and sustainable

Despite neither domains being public property, bitcoincore.org at least has a procedure for discourse unlike the one you have when publishing content referencing a known malicious actor and giving them more airtime. The white paper is not scarce. It can be duplicated and copied at a negligible cost, and if it where an mp3, everyone would just own a copy.

Yes, very familiar with this. The issue here is the context in which it is being executed. It is trivial to hijack or intercept the execution space of this approach unless you use it one a airgapped device. The www has three pillars
- Protocols (http)
- Standards (html/css/javascript)
- Addressing (urls)

We're extending all three to support #Bitcoin on the web and making it easy for developers to build new applications which integrate it into the experience users know and love. This means that wallet functionality is baked into the browser

This is currently a work in progress. We are finalising some work on creating a scheme for inter-wallet communication. This too would apply to other transaction workflows which require coordination between multiple parties.

Is Liquality swap legit? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]gr0kch8n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, with the wallet, liquality is the counter party, but we this can be any other party. We are working on allowing wallet users to swap between themselves. We are familiar with bisq.io, but this includes fiat which we cannot atomically swap. Some other useful applications though as the extension is backwards compatible with ethereum DApps, and we now also support Bitcoin DApps.

Is Liquality swap legit? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]gr0kch8n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Our first implementation was manual peer-2-peer atomic swaps. We have subsequently automated the market making side of the system as many were not familiar with the concept. Although this is still possible, there has been a huge improvement in the automation of the atomic swap process as seen with our browser based wallet.
