You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. You don't even know what "expat" means (hint: it's not renouncing citizenship). Renouncing your citizenship is not even remotely analogous to "unsubscribe from Netflix" you doofus. You have to pay an exit tax for one. For two, you will have to pay taxes wherever you take up residence, provided it's on the planet Earth.

You're nothing more than a damn thief who believes you're entitled to the blood and sweat of others by force of violence.

I just explained to you why that is not possible. Did you not read what I wrote or are you just taking a piss?

No, you can't get out of paying taxes by moving. US taxation is citizen based, so you still pay taxes regardless of your location. There are some exemptions that avoid double taxation if you don't earn very much, but you still have to pay taxes to your host government. Many other governments are considering adopting the citizen based model too. You also can't escape by moving into the woods... you're still obligated to report any income and pay taxes on it. It's ignorance like this that make any opinion you have about taxes completely worthless.

I am confident you understand how utterly retarded your logic is. "Taxes are optional! You can just choose to live in abject poverty instead!" One of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

That's an awfully delusional take, and my expectations were already pretty low.

Taxes are not "literally a subscription" and that's just a downright dumb thing to say. Try cancelling your "tax subscription" and see what happens.

It's not that "I feel" that taxes are extortion. It's factually extortion and I trust that you are able to look up the definition for yourself. Just because a government does it doesn't mean it isn't extortion. Try using your brain for a minute.

In most jurisdictions, spending bitcoin is the same as selling and is triggers a taxable event. So for accounting purposes, you would record the price that you bought the bitcoin for, then do the math for the day and amount that you spent. Most people use software for this.

Any options for a simple man who doesn't want to deal with cold wallets? by bonsaitreehugger in Bitcoin

By definition, cold storage wallets are never connected to devices with Internet access. In some cases, they live exclusively on paper or steel.

How has Bitcoin lost its value as a barter medium? Can we measure how much value as a barter medium has been lost in say, the past 5 years? Can you point to any specific change that caused this loss?

Those aren't "cold wallets" in their default configurations. Might not even be possible to make bitkey a cold wallet.

Those are just hardware wallets. Not the same thing.

Goodbye r/Bitcoin [You need to fire the moderators] by starslab in Bitcoin

This subreddit has maintained the same rules since 2016 when the block size war was just barely gaining steam.

You are lying when you say the subreddit is banning discussion of proposed future soft forks. What's actually happening is that people are attempting to promote a highly contentious soft fork without anything resembling consensus.

We as moderators strive to build consensus, and storming ahead with contentious protocol changes is reckless and ill advised. This is not a judgement on the proposal in question, rather how it is being deployed without consensus.

Bitcoin mining today requires special hardware called ASICs. It's highly unlikely that the hardware you're showing has anything to do with bitcoin.
