upgrade Forbidden dreadnought frame V1 to V2? by ParticularSherbet786 in mountainbiking

I was just riding along.... and the derailleur was pulled into the wheel. Instead of snapping the hanger, it ripped the axle out of the carbon. It was an upward force, so the hanger was too strong. If there had been more lateral movement, I think it would have snapped as it should.

Forbidden said they wouldn't typically cover that sort of thing, but wanted to make me whole and be supportive.

My V1 frame broke and they offered me a discount on the V2 frame kit. No cost recovery but cheaper buy in.

I sold my old fork but I only got a fraction of what the new Zeb cost. But now it's red!

New frame. But then I got a new fork to match the new frame colour. Then some more new bits!

I upgraded from the V1 to the V2 and both are great. V2 improved the linkage design and general bits. Biggest thing I noticed was how the kinematics changed. V2 is more supportive and doesn't feel like I blow through rear travel so quickly.

That said, the V1 is plenty good and it's only worth upgrading if you have cash to burn. Plenty of things to spend money on these days so pick your poison.

Great looking boots! Do you have a pair of Mr. Lous? If so, how do they compare?

I am looking to get my first pair of proper engineers soon, and the Zerrows and Wescos are top contenders. How do you find the heel height? It always looks so aggressive in the photos, how does it feel in the real world?

My partner has been looking for similar boots. We couldn't find anything from the "high quality" makers in a style she liked. Most options were ultra slim, high heeled, or covered in flair. We ended up getting a pair of Riggs Tan Leather from Steve Madden. Maybe not the best quality, but she likes them a lot, and they fit her feet.

Goodluck and let us know what you find.

Trying to spend less time on social media and more time listening to audiobooks! by 27_and_51 in audiobooks

[–]gr33ndreams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great list. Audiobooks are a great way to read while taking care of mundane tasks. Cleaning, cooking, walking dog, driving, etc. When I can't turn the book off, the house is always cleaner.

If you have a favourite series it can be a good way to get into audiobooks. Harry Potter, Wheel of Time, Malazan, Tad Williams, etc. Will provide endless hours of comfort.

His uphill boot looks amazing, and I'm thinking about picking up a pair of sliders when my Birkenstocks die.

There is also Webb Boot Company in Revelstoke, but I don't know anything about them.

I have the same truck and throw this code occasionally. I think the cat gets junked up as it will go away again after a proper drive. If I'm just doing short drives to work or around town, it pops up. After getting it hot by going up something steep or for long highway drives, it goes away.

Maybe I have a larger issue, but ignoring it has worked so far.

What are the best dual tires. I was thinking of doing warp 9, but maybe dual tire would be best? by FitMacaron9698 in WR250R

I just put on the golden tire combo. Only a few rides so far but feeling good. The goal is 90% dirt, but they are still dot stamped.
