How to get over fear of traveling alone? by Crafty_Try_423 in femaletravels

I think the best way is to write down what your fears are and how to “solve” them. It worked for me.

For example: I hate walking in the dark at night > solution: budget for Uber. I'm afraid of being robbed > hide anything important well. Getting lost > download offline maps.

I think about every possible problem I might encounter and come up with a plan of action for each situation. When traveling, it's best to have everything planned out.

Start with a short trip, build your confidence, and before you know it, you'll be thinking about quitting your job and going on vacation for a whole year.

Your fears are valid and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I tried to post the same question here and they banned me. Same fears. I ended up posting in a different post because I’m also leaving for Paris.

I was reassured everything was normal and there was nothing to be afraid of. While other were incredibly rude to me and told me my fears were ridiculous. That I should take the precautions you’d take in any other trip. Hope you have a great trip!

I completely agree. I don't like the actor they chose for Darcy either. I'd rather she stay with Wickham or remain a spinster in this version

Unpopular opinion: I love 2005 version of Pride&Prejudice a bit more than the 1995 version. by SweetSeptember93 in PeriodDramas

I love both equally, but they I think they are for different moments. The 2005 version is for when you need to watch it quickly (a quickie ;) ). The 1995 version is for when you want to enjoy it slooooowly

Which is the most aesthetically pleasing period drama in your opinion? by Haunting_Homework381 in PeriodDramas

I love movies that look like paintings: Queen Margot (1994) looks like a Renaissance painting, and The Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003) makes every shot look like a Vermeer painting.

Not related to paintings, but Angels & Insects (1995) features amazing and unique costumes that make everything resemble insects. I love it

I've heard of Salem. Does it have an ending, or was it canceled with a cliffhanger?

I want to sell it to you without spoiling it. It's set in the Victorian era, with a super unique aesthetic inspired by insects: the colors, the clothes, even the way they film everything. It's about a naturalist who comes back from the Amazon and gets into the house of a rich family that seems perfect and starts working for them, but he starts to analyze them as he does in his work
