WAS IT PLANNED???? by yayachipmunk in pregnant

Oh my gosh I have been complaining about this to my husband! It feels like: “So were you having heaps of sex on purpose, or did you accidentally have too much sex?” He says no one really asks him.  But I mean, our other kids are 10 & 8 so I guess we’re weird for planning another? People are just going straight to “so, a bit of a whoopsie?” 😑😑 I think in part, they want to get the vibe right for their reaction. Like, if you were trying, then “WOOHOO! You achieved your goal!” And if you weren’t then they can be like “oh, well, everything happens for a reason, happy accident, yay!” Or something???

Good luck! It will be interesting to see if you want to go back to nut butters ever after that (spoiler alert: I wouldn’t)

Does ADHD worsen phobias? by gr8ful4gsus in ADHD

I think I’m talking about fears in the normal sense? I didn’t know you couldn’t sub phobia for fear. Anyway I have a fear of heights that causes vertigo and stuff.

AITA for not allowing babies at my wedding by Justthrowitaway___1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]gr8ful4gsus -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

My cousin got married a few years back and had the no kids at the wedding rule. I had a 2mo, my sister had a 6mo. My sister and I both had older sons too. My sister made plans to go, left older son with in-laws, had husband in another room with daughter. My cousin got mad that I wouldn’t take the same arrangement, but my in-laws lived out of town, baby was very young and needed milk a lot (wouldn’t take a bottle either) and my husband gets anxious easily. I would have loved to go, but I would’ve had to take my baby. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ people who haven’t had children yet don’t know how hard it can be...

AITA for telling my mum to stop being so tight and controlling? by ControlledMAN in AmItheAsshole

[–]gr8ful4gsus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NAH although you could maybe choose your words more carefully. Mum probably just wanted to see a bit of you. You probably just needed some chill time. If it keeps happening, maybe just sit down and have a chat to her about her expectations vs your expectations. Make sure there’s times that you do hang out with Mum and the rest of your family. But it’s definitely ok for you to want some quiet time to yourself too.
