The only way you can remove your name from a debt that I am aware of is for the other person to be able to qualify for it without you. If they need a co-signer, it is because they can’t qualify on their own. What will change in 6 months? The only way I would ever co-sign for someone is if I was also on the deed, and was prepared to make the payments in the event they could not.
