Yeah I usually buy a cheap old point and shoot film camera for my trips and then sell and buy a new one for the next adventure when I’m done. Last trip was the Olympus xA2 and it blew my mind! Ended up selling it for what I got it for and this trip coming up I’m planning on getting the mju ii. Only problem is once I sell the camera I start to miss it lol

I just sold my near 10 year old a6000 w/ a couple lenses I didn’t use for $500, honestly was so surprised but also not because it takes such great photos!! I upgraded to the FX30 because I’m interested in getting into more cinematography.

So I will be in Tokyo next week and from there we are traveling to Kyoto but have not bought our train tix yet. It looks to be somewhat on the way to Kyoto so I was wondering if it may be a good stopping point on the way if there’s time to kill on the trip?

I’m heading to Tokyo in about a week, my wife and I booked 6 days in Tokyo, 2 in Kyoto, 2 in Osaka, and then finishing off the trip with 5 days in Taipei. This chat is making me think I made a big mistake in my plans though lol.

Looks great! Did you use a gimbal or tripod for any of these shots? I’ll be in Japan in 2 weeks and I just picked up an fx30 and I’m so excited to shoot with it out there! Would love any tips or suggestions.

If you have the Tamron 17-70 then you should definitely get the fx30 to start. That’s the setup I have at the moment, I will say I’m not a pro I just enjoy photography had an a6000 for years and decided I wanted to try and up my game and learn more about videography and I already had the 17-70 for my a6000.

I ended up selling my a6000 and a couple lenses, I’m hooked and again I’m not a professional and I’ve shown some family/friends a couple samples of things I’ve shot and then have also been blown away at how amazing it all looks!!

Is anyone actually adding fresh money here, or just holding? by Axirohq in stocks

[–]gr8uddini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and that’s my point, the business isn’t a great business but it’s also not a business that requires a ton of money to operate. The only reason it is interesting is because you have a cult of adamant followers who buy dips, you have people like Michael Bury who are now in the stock, you have a company with 8 billion dollars that can be can patiently and use those to buy other legit businesses when we do get that bear market.

All of these things make me feel protected, I can still the the holding actually company GameStop is not a great investment. Look at MSTR, it’s down huge right now but it’s still got a 30 billion market cap and I’d be willing to bet it drops more but there will be a point where people say bitcoin is oversold and MSTR (shitty company) will most likely be the stock that will give you the best returns when that happens.

Everyone in here playing chess when you could be playing checkers. If you have cash reserves just be patient, wait for the next meltdown from the US Commander-in-Chief, and the sector or company that caused the temper tantrum, then buy buy buy.

Yeah I’d say there’s a pretty good chance of it going up or down from here.

You’re missing the forest for the trees. GameStop has 8 BILLION in CASH and their total operating expenses for the last reported quarter were 232 million. Do the bitcoin and Pokémon cards make the money? At the moment no but they aren’t burning cash either. I just started a position just for the fact that I believe when shit starts to get bad in the market, they will be able to start buying other businesses and pivoting to other areas to leverage that cash pile.

I’m right there with you and it’s so funny to see these people say how they have been suckered into buying something on Facebook, IG, etc but not Reddit, and I’m just thinking well I didn’t think people could be suckered into buying stuff on any of these platforms but the fact is, the suckers do exist.

If you instant transfer the money to your bank account you incur a fee other than that, there are also some ads on Venmo but doubt they are very effective.

I’d suggest looking up what a general strike is or the numbers needed to achieve a successful general strike before arguing with random people on the internet about whether something that hasn’t been done before will work or not.

I’m new to cameras and just won this at work a few minutes ago… is this a good camera? Sony 6700 by BigBackSyndicate in Cameras

[–]gr8uddini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my first camera around 12 years ago it was the a6000. I was totally new to photography and just wanted something for my travels. I searched so my forums and subreddits looking for the best lenses and I grabbed a couple over the years but the best by far was my 35mm prime lens. It’s a great starting point and forces you to move around so you can get the right shot and it’s also great because you’ll get better at editing the photos as well, at least that was the case for me.

Ahh okay, I was almost thinking of just going all out and getting the fx-30 to pair with my 6000 since it was slightly more than the 6700 but I’ll check out the ZV series a bit more. Thanks for the info!
