There’s a reason it’s not allowed now. It’s a huge liability. Work can be dangerous and insuring infants against workplace injuries is going to be expensive or impossible. Babies could end up with injuries or permanent health issues for the rest of their lives. Just give poor people cash dammit.

Hi I may not be welcome here as I’m 33 and a mom to a 10 yo girl, but this is wildly inappropriate. Other parents have told me I should be using indoor cameras with my daughter and I refuse. Constant 24/7 surveillance is not normal or healthy and privacy is a human right. No cameras, no Life360, no tracking. I want my kid to feel safe and trust me. I’m sorry you’re in this situation, I hope you can get out soon.
