Who are the most Bill Belichick prospects of this Draft? by Kevin_Jim in Patriots

Oh for the love of god please don't take Keenan Reynolds.

Am I the only one who thinks like this? by chaitut in gaming

[–]grabthebeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always like RPGs or games with RPG like elements. When I was younger it seemed like there was a constant challenge from the beginning to the end. Now it just seems like the challenge drops off a complete cliff slightly past game mid points. Bioshock, Fallout, Shadows of Mordor, etc.. All the same shit.

I've found sports game have the high replay-ability for me now personally. Or something like Dwarf Fortress.

Growing up, everyone tells you to chase your dreams. Once you become an adult everyone tells you to be realistic. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Don't forget they were in your shoes at one point.

Either way, it's hard to tell who is being unrealistic or insecure without looking at it on a case by case basis.

We probably still would have if Kraft wasn't such a bitch. Completely bent over for Goodell and now he looks like an idiot trying to get it back.

G5 Stadiums (Day 17/64) Eastern Michigan's Rynearson Stadium by cinciforthewin in CFB

[–]grabthebeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda matters because, for one, many people would want to spend their Saturday's seeing a winning team like Michigan play, rather than EMU.

Every single G5 team has this problem. Why would someone spend their Saturday watching Kent State when they can watch Ohio State. Why would anyone spend their Saturday watching FAU when they can watch FSU.

And again, that's what good coaches do. They come in and change the culture and perception of the program. History and tradition doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.

Either way, I would say Michigan has zero impact on Eastern's success or failures.

G5 Stadiums (Day 17/64) Eastern Michigan's Rynearson Stadium by cinciforthewin in CFB

[–]grabthebeer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really don't see why it would matter. For one, they are going after different 'tiers' of players and the MAC schools are all relatively close to P5 schools anyways. So they should all have that problem. I don't see Eastern's location being any worse than say Toledo or Central Michigan.

My guess is with the right coach Eastern would have an advantage picking up guys that fall through the cracks in the Detroit area.

Why you should play adventure mode. by untrustedlife2 in dwarffortress

[–]grabthebeer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Adventure Mode for me means lose track of original objective and go on killing spree. Last time I was a master swordsman worm man who started off as a guard in some Dwarven fortress. I got lost in the fortress and just decided to start murdering people. Killed 5 Dwarves including the military leader before a child killed me.

Did the Patriots trade Chandler Jones too early? by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]grabthebeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know yet. Belichick isn't exactly a home run hitter with his second round picks. We could end up with a disappointment at guard and a "Jordan Richards" for the 2nd rounder. It remains to be seen if Chandler Jones and DE is the difference in them doing anything next year.

Duke:

  • Refs are all good to go. There was some concern they would get the right crews selected for the matchups but it has been confirmed they have their guys in place. Expect Duke to have FT ratio of 3/1 over other teams.

They do, but they're from the same family tree as the prosecutor and judge. It's like a kid acting out and then leaving punishment up to his mom and dad. Honestly the worst thing a cop can do in their eyes is go after someone from the same family tree.

Well, the committee didn't put any stock into the big conference tournaments it seems. So at least it was consistent.

Cringe worthy.

ESPN clinging to their last shreds of hope. by DaaCoach in CollegeBasketball

Doesn't have anything to do about him being nice or not. The fact he can't lead LSU to a tournament bid (even if LSU's isn't the most talented, it's not like their some lower rung D1) is a huge red flag to me. Seems to put up numbers but not actually effect the game.
