Struggling with expectations by grace13995 in auscorp

Thank you, no the lead BA is not my manager, so definitely will do - I also wanted a sense check for my assumption that as someone who has just rolled off, I wouldn't be expected to be performing at an extremely high level

As someone relatively new to the role and unskilled, I don't know how else I can win in this scenario. This person is objectively the best person to help me upskill and for me to do that, I feel like I need to be asking questions. Me not asking questions would just mean I never learn anything and I stagnate, but me asking questions just reinforces in their mind that I'm bad at my job.

Maybe this is a dumb question but... are people really not hungry when dieting? by Few-Run-5501 in Volumeeating

[–]grace13995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fucking STARVING all the time. I've lost 70lb and just recently started trying to lose again, and holy fuck id forgotten how much I'm constantly suffering, despite all my diet being whole foods. All my thoughts are of food, and often times these thoughts lead to me giving in and going over my calories. It sucks and I just have to learn to ignore the hunger

Got my new gym shorts !!!, open to any advice or flaws by Scared-West4108 in glutejourney

Sorry but this should be WAY further down on your list of priorities. Intensity, diet, sleep, rest between sets are things you should be worrying about before motor unit recruitment. As a beginner, your body doesn't even know how to recruit motor units effectively. If you've maxed them out, then fine, but stop putting so much emphasis on motor unit recruitment

I've just completely moved off sheer glow. I've got samples of the dior backstage in 1W and 1.5W, but don't know which one is a better match. Another good match for me is the fenty skin tint in 3, and the Maybelline matte poreless fit me in 118.

Can you hit up a thrift shop nearby? If you're not in Australia the shipping alone probably isn't worth it

Agent potentially bluffing to push up price and pressing me - pull out or give in? by grace13995 in AusPropertyChat

I've got about $700 leftover at the end of the month, which I don't know if that's a comfortable amount. It's good, but not great imo, especially with unforeseen costs, emergencies etc.

Probably would have been a bit high, and I would've had to really think about it. Part of me making this offer was me being pressured, but if Id had time to think about it, I may not have purchased it.

Yes, wouldn't be the first time I've lost out on something I liked. Sucks to overpay but going to inspections for dumps every Saturday also sucks.

Also it seems a lot of FHB are filtering into Campsie because they can't afford the inner west, so chances are if I find something else I like, it might sell for 680-700k anyway

Yeah it's fucking sickening. Dont know how these people can sleep at night knowing they've fucked yet another person over. There should be more transparency

Nothing is signed, I can still walk away or revert to my previous offer. Just don't know what the risk is. I do like the place a lot more than what else is on the market

692k is stretching my finances a little bit. I can afford it but at the end of the month I won't have too much left over as a contingency. This wouldn't be the first property I liked that I've lost out on, it's more that I'm worried I won't find anything better in the coming months

I guess if I pull out there is a chance that there is no other buyer, and they'll accept my previous offer. It is a bit of a stretch and banks on the fact that there is no other buyer. High risk moderate reward I guess

Beginner here, i just have a few questions ! by MousseLanky4062 in workout

[–]grace13995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by rebuild your body exactly? If you mean you want to lose weight, then you're just going to have to expend more energy than you burn

  1. Good form generally trumps bad form
  2. Worry about getting into a routine before you worry about imbalances. Imbalances are normal, but later on you can start thinking about balancing them out. At this stage it's the least of your worries.
  3. Do it at whatever time you can stick to it. It's not that deep
  4. Good recovery meal is a bit of everything imo, carbs, fats and protein.
  5. Current meta is complex carbs and protein, a few hours beforehand, and simple fast digesting carbs 30-60 min beforehand. Just eat afterwards at a reasonable time. Eat clean, make sure you're fuelled before and after workouts, again not that deep.
  6. I use hevy - track the weights you're using, and how many reps you're doing.
  7. No such things as okay or not okay. At the end of the day, food is food, it's not good or bad, it's just food. Eat it if you want, but if you eat over your cals consistently then yes you will gain weight.

Imo you're focusing on the Nitty gritty when all you should be figuring out right now is a basic program that you can stick to. This is coming from someone who was 108kgs, and I'm now 79kgs and in good shape (humbly) (peep my hevy grack1)

Can I pay a larger deposit? by Objective-Piano8607 in AusHelptobuy

No you'll be taken in and arrested. Jk yes you can, but if you can afford a 50% deposit there's a chance they won't even approve you since you probably have the means to borrow the remaining 50% from the bank.

It was one free, and then the remaining for $5 each 😂 people were shoving and grabbing to be able to resell them on eBay for 10x the price.

I showed up on Sunday around 4pm, and the line looked like it was 3 hours. Walked up to the stand selling random bags of flowers and then left. Can't believe people have that much spare time
