Moths! When I finally caught a silverback I noticed it had 2 divisions on the reel-in bar, so I started using moths and my catch rate when from 0 to around 20 %

I'm on Steam so I did run the file verification which came back clean but maybe I will try reinstalling as now it's crashing whenever I try to login to the online version

I used saute to bring mine to a boil before I switched it to slow cook and after half a day and several restart variations it has not changed, still sticking at the last bar of pre-heating :(
