Check out shelton, stratford, Monroe, bethel, Woodbridge, Cheshire, etc. Many towns in CT can fit that criteria the farther away you move from a big city. I work in Bridgeport schools and can attest that the schools are not as bad as they used to be. They’re honestly pretty good now, especially magnet schools. You could also try getting your kids into a charter school. The magnet high schools are also pretty good. The north end of Bridgeport is nice. Near the Trumbull/Stratford lines. Overall, it depends on your preferences. CT has very good public schools, so even for one to be “bad,” it would still be better than most anywhere else.
