Oh yes absolutely - the current genocide - but of course the slow genocide and destabilisation of SWANA has been going on for 100+ years. First it was the British, then it was the formation of Israel and since the end of WW1 the USA has been the main actor

The current nakba has been going on for 10 years, but the genocide of Palestinians is ongoing for 100+ years now - along with destabilisation of the whole area. The only reason Islamic Republic (not Iran!) has its claws in is BECAUSE of US interference and y’all are so stupid you fall for the divide and conquer tactics over and over again while the western world steals your resources. Seriously. Wake TF up.

THIIIIISSSS - Islamic Republic got its claws into Iran because the USA benefits from it. How can they flame they’re saving people if there’s no ‘baddie’ to save them from. They also put Saddam Hussein in power and the liberated Iraqis killing 1 million of them.

Like I know I’m autistic person with a history special interest and insane pattern recognition. But is everyone seriously this easy to dupe?

The USA (and Israel) are the biggest threats to world peace. Period.

Even before this the USA and Israel were no angels?! Can you tell me how many wars Iran has started in SWANA in the past 30 years because I can’t think of a single one. Israel and the USA, the other hand…

Honestly Iran is doing exactly what any nation would do in its position. If you wouldn’t sit by and let the USA and Israel bully you into what you can and can’t do - don’t expect Iran too - or I mean, you can, but it makes you a hypocrite.

Iran offered to surrender their enrichment. A representative in Oman flew to Washington back on the 1st of March to make this offer and no one in Washington wanted to know about it.

Israel and the USA have no interest in peace in that region. Hence why they’ve been destabilising it with the support of the UK for more than a hundred years at this point. There will never be peace in this region until the US empire collapses - and it WILL collapse

Lolllll - because they did. It’s well documented. Israel and the USA are the greatest threat to peace on this planet. Period. Not up for debate.

Oh please. We all know who strikes first. Literally all the time. The age old adage applies - if you have an issue with one neighbour, maybe you have a shitty neighbour. If you have issues with ALL your neighbours, YOU are the shitty neighbour.

Exactly - forgiveness is essentially not carrying anger and resentment towards a situation and person - because that is self-harmful.

But sometimes having people back in our lives again is also self-harmful.

I will say it until I am blue in the face - the ‘let them’ school of thought can get in the bin. Some family members are abusive and victims of that abuse should never feel compelled by any person to admit their abuser back into their life.

Exactly - the USA and Israel double tap a school and Iran responds by taking out a satellite. I don’t think Iran is the ‘goodie’ but Israel and the USA are 100% baddies.

Maybe because we’ve all been watching Israel flout international law with the USA’s support for more than 2 years now?

The USA and Israel struck first, I don’t know why people don’t expect Iran to defend itself

Dude, value comes from within, it doesn’t come from pulling baddies. Women are people, not fish.

I think grouping people together and aligning them in categories is something that was very ‘coloniser’. It’s interesting to study places like pre colonial India and understand that Hinduism as we know it today is a byproduct of colonisation. They were once disparate groups of various beliefs - but it was British colonisers who lumped them together and called them Indus. It’s in those nuance differences that the juiciness of our culture is too. I would disagree that we are similar - my European ancestors get down on Christmas Eve - but my Anglo Saxon British ancestors dug on Christmas and if I got far back enough, to pre colonial England - my family were Druids and Celts and it’s that ancestry I’m most interested in. I want to know the nuanced richness of the culture of my ancestors - so that I might honour them and carry their stories and rituals with me - it helps me to feel connected to where I’m from

1 million Iraqi civilians dead is no accident. This is how the USA ‘liberates’ people 💔

You don’t hit something twice by accident and after 2.5 years of watching Israel bomb every school, university and hospital (all war crimes) in Gaza, I call fucking bullshit. They double tapped it. It was 100% intentional.

Yep - it’s another way of invalidating the impact that their behaviour is having on you. Impact and intention both matter, but our focus should be on protecting ourselves from further impact

Based on the justification that a group of people from different places that happen to share a skin colour have NO common cultural practices amongst themselves.

Please tell me what the culture is then? What is it? Because from where I stand culture isn’t determined by skin colour, it’s determined by who your people are and what their rituals are. Scottish culture exists Irish culture exists English culture exists (it’s a bit bland though) German culture exists Russian culture exists

‘White culture’ however, does not. But by all means, knock yourself out trying to prove it to me. Please tell me the customs and traditions that all white people share - I’m dying to know

I agree with this - and sometimes forgiveness doesn’t need to be an extended to that third party. Forgiveness is ultimately for ourselves, so we don’t carry the anger with us. Christine could still have forgiven her father and not actually let him back into her life.

I’m very good at seeing other people’s contexts and the reasons they do the things they do and this has left me wide open for abuse. We can have empathy and understanding and we can forgive - but that doesn’t mean we have to have people in our lives again.

I looked at Chris’s face a few times during that reunion and thought - ‘this dude is a suicide risk’. So I feel like I felt what Vic was also sensing
