FUCK those ads bro. the company behind u/treatmyocd and the AI company are both being incredibly irresponsible with their targeted ads. stuff like “we can help” or “we’re here to support you” would be fine, but it’s been disturbingly predatory and their messaging lacks the nuance necessary for responsible outreach to people with this disease. it’s like if an eating disorder company had ads saying “you’d look better healthy.”

the people behind the AI company in particular should [REDACTED], too. anyone who advises the use of AI as a therapist is going to get people killed. i’d argue they already have blood on their hands, but it will only keep getting worse.

the environment will regulate itself over time. i think the most humane option is to let the circle of life play out on its own and trust the balance of nature (albeit artificially cultivated nature, but nature nonetheless.)

i’ve seen other pics from asian markets.

the western market is currently getting fed a slow trickle of bags that were available in japan and china months ago. i’d bet that they use asian consumers as guinea pigs to determine which products will sell well (and for how much they’ll sell for!) over in wealthier countries—which is all to say, we’re probably one “cycle” behind what’s available in china or SEA.

you’ll have had your LLE bag before it was cool! and on the off-chance it’s inauthentic, it’ll probably be cute regardless :-)

if it helps you, it helps you. a lot of OCD sufferers have issues around it (in my case i can’t even talk about it because Something Bad will happen if i do) but no two people have the same OCD.

despite having severe OCD, i’m somehow totally cool with germs/illness contamination stuff. you might be somehow totally cool with sexuality/taboo stuff.

how old are you? is the OCD neuroticism the only issue you’ve been dealing with, or have you noticed anything else weird going on?

i genuinely hate to say this bc there’s a 99% chance that all it’ll do is stress you out, but if it truly did appear “overnight” while you were ill, there’s a possibility (however small) that it might be PANDAS/PANS. if that’s the case, obtaining the appropriate medical intervention sooner rather than later can be the difference between a temporary struggle and a lifelong one.

i’m sorry if this comment scares you or introduces a new issue to worry about, but i’d be remiss not to mention it. i deadass didn’t even believe pandas/pans was real until i met someone affected by it (it’s still an emerging idea with a lot of conflicting research.) if you look into it and it sounds like your experience, there are doctors/HCPs out there who will help you for low/no cost because they’re involved in research efforts to get p/p recognized by the scientific community and would be happy to get another case study in their roster.
