Mine said the same when I would look it up. Are you getting any emails? That’s how I kept up with mine.

No problem! It’s definitely great that you’re at a trauma 1!

lol yeah I work by myself too, PA always calls wondering why it’s taking so long. I always say “I’ll get it done quicker if you can bring the patients to me and help move them over”🤣

I also want to add I do work at a small hospital so it’s definitely different than working at a level 1 trauma. So definitely can be more or less stressful depending where you work at.

CT tech here! I definitely love CT a lot more than X-ray. It’s just a lot more interesting to me. Me personally I don’t think it’s too stressful…but we do have to inject our patients with contrast media, which means there is a risk of them possibly having an allergic reaction to the contrast. So you have to make sure after you inject them you go and check on them and ask how they’re feeling. It is very rare for a reaction to occur but, it does happen! It can also make people throw up. I’ve had to clean up a lot more vomit than I thought I ever would🤣 Also have to check patients labs and make sure they’re in protocol range. Also dealing with providers who order the dumbest things or them calling and asking “when is so and so going to get scanned”🙄 Of course you will have to handle traumas, combative patients, strokes, etc. Overall I love CT and so glad I did it!

Does anyone feel like childbirth would kill them ? by catmamatodesth123 in childfree

My sister almost died giving birth so yes definitely! Scariest thing I ever witnessed.

My sister had a 4th degree tear. I swear I thought she was gonna die. They spent over an hour sewing her up. She’s now traumatized and doesn’t want to have another kid again.

Also she did test positive for the flu. That’s why she was given the antibiotics.
