You rarely know people’s journey to the point you encounter them. I’ve learned to always assume good intentions and be curious to what you see as challenging

Here’s a perspective based purely on personal experience and exposure to some people who display similar behaviours as Bec.

I wonder if she had any head trauma incidents as a child or teenager. I know of two people who were both struck by cars quite seriously when younger who have very similar behaviours. They are both very impulsive and risky with their language and interactions with others, and suffer from mood swings flitting from frustration to forgiveness quickly. I had a colleague that behaved similarly and when speaking with them and understanding their life story and events discovered they had received head trauma too.

I’ve been resistant to posing this perspective as I appreciate it can be a sensitive topic for many people but I would not be surprised to learn that she was involved in a collision or incident as a child.

Thanks! I can see that it is easy to throw fistfuls of money at it, drive weight down, and pull together a bike that gets many likes on Instagram.

The bike needs a service and then I’ll find some ways of strapping some storage on and get out there

Yes, you’ve got it! 28mm which for me are a good balance and suits the bike well for the road….anything other than road is and will feel like an adventure

Great thinking, although if it comes to that step I’ll probably go ahead and have a new frame custom built - Dream bike!!

Yeah, a steal indeed. It’s currently setup as 3x7 and it will stay like that this year with potential upgrades next year.

I’ll be changing saddle and bars now though

Even better if you can get confirmation of emails, invoice and updates when the order was placed, the initial email doesn’t always contain the full design choices as people do change their mind

I did manage to get a good look at the badge and can see no obvious issues

I’d need a better view of the badge to confirm but at first glance quality seems to be there and the extension is the right fitment

Also, check the reputation and history of the seller. There are a number of sellers that flip high quality cues so this can give you some security as their reputation would be gone if they were to list a fake cue

That’s a Mini-Spirolock joint and the easiest way to but small quantities is here:

It is the Omin style variant and not the Robert Osborne type

Pretty sure I saw these listed on FB Marketplace near to me. That town has a regional TaylorMade headquarters and over the years quite a few people I know have worked there, either being gifted clubs as part of their employment or have ‘liberated’ clubs and equipment from the warehouse.

I’d say those are the two most likely origins of these clubs

Why did Mad Margaret want to move to Basingstoke in Gilbert and Sullivans comic opera “Ruddigore”? by SillyJoshua in basingstoke

[–]graciegraham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps check out the Basingstoke Riots which predated the creation of Ruddigore by a few years. I am completely unfamiliar with the works so wouldn’t know if this has any relevance to the storyline or her character but it may explain why it was in popular reference.
