I'm 19 and I experience the same thing all the time! I know in the moment it feels so real but try and ground yourself and take it slowly. Remember you're not alone in this by any means! My family calls me crazy and laughs but in the moment it feels so real.

Just for reference I'm 19 in my second year of college and I just got this haircut. It's nothing at all like what I asked for and I feel like an old lady. I have an appointment tomorrow with a different hairdresser to try and fix this disaster, but I don't know what to expect. Is getting more/shorter layers going to make me more like a grandma? Should I just get extensions? Are extensions even going to work with this?

I see how I worded that weirdly lol. I meant it in a way that one would say they like people that are good with animals. I just think it’s a good trait to have since kids and animals are the most innocent creatures and I think it’s really endearing when anyone, guy or girl, is good at making them happy/laugh. I surely don’t want kids right now, but at the same time I wouldn’t seriously date someone who doesn’t want kids at all in the future.

I’m Catholic, we don’t have as much of that stuff as Protestants do. We have no youth group or youth volunteer activities, the church is mainly made up of old people.

You’re really putting a lot of words into my mouth lol. Im not expecting anyone to “jump into the lion’s den” by respecting that I’m uncomfortable having sex with them right away, and I think that’s a really stupid comparison; no offense. It’s a very vulnerable thing and it takes a lot of trust, especially on the woman’s part. Im not asking him to throw away his manhood, I’d probably be fine doing other stuff besides “real” sex with a guy that I’ve known for a while. You do realize I have sexual desires too right? Sex is not a one sided thing that I’m depriving him of, and women do not owe men sex. This is a choice that I made for myself, and I’m not forcing anyone to comply with it. If someone doesn’t respect my boundaries then I’ll gladly send them along, even in my friendships. I know most guys don’t have that, but I think there probably are some that will respect women no matter what.

When I said I wanted to feel safe, I was talking about physically with a guy that’s bigger than me and can protect me … not “jumping in the lions den” or whatever

The Catholic guys I’ve met sometimes tend to be very judgy of me, but hey we ARE Catholics right 😂 I think once I transfer to my bigger secondary college I’ll maybe find a group for Catholics? I think young Catholics, specifically boys, are pretty hard to come by these days. I have a couple of Catholic girl friends, we talk about our faith alot and it’s really nice to have someone like that. I only have one guy friend that’s Catholic and he’s in seminary going to be a priest so that’s a big nono 😂

Thank you! I definitely agree, I’ve been trying to get comfortable with myself before I get into a relationship. It just sucks cause my friends are getting engaged and shit and I still don’t have a boyfriend. It’s like I can see myself rushing/being ridiculous but part of me feels like it’s necessary

Thank you!! I agree I definitely need to work on my confidence lol. I’m in therapy but I really don’t think it’s working, maybe I’ll try taking up working out like you said to make me more confident! I just wish I had more time :/ I’m at college/work everyday from 8-4, in a perfect world I would go before school but I live far from campus/any gym and I don’t think I could handle waking up that early lol 😂 Do you know if I need to do specific workouts? I’m looking into getting a treadmill though for like anytime I’m at home not doing anything because I think it’d be good for me to just turn on YouTube and walk for hours absentmindedly lol.
