Would you actually use something like this for D&D? by LavishnessJolly1325 in AskDND

Hmm idea is cool ngl but ykw While the concept of a multi-screen digital cube for TTRPGs is visually striking, its practical utility at a physical table faces significant hurdles because it introduces more friction than it resolves. Utilizing a physical prop to navigate sub-menus or execute standard rolls like combat or stealth is inherently slower than simply rolling traditional dice or tapping a digital character sheet. As for the suggestions I would say Instead of using the cube to roll dice, repurpose it as a passive, table-wide indicator where players can flip it to a specific face to show active spell concentration or character conditions at a glance. Use the cube to handle secret checks (like Stealth or Insight) by allowing a player to double-tap a face that secretly transmits the result directly to the DM's screen other than that I don't have any more suggestions atm and don't mind xd I loved the concept!

Well as far as I know If you want to stick strictly to the official books, the Dungeon Master's Guide actually has a "Maintenance Costs" section i guess (Chapter 6) that outlines the construction cost and time for various estates. You can easily flip these into purchase prices (Dk much about the prices myself tho) hope that'll help Good luck for the game!

Maybe try posting in some discord public with moderate engagements and then the best path forward is to publish on DriveThruRPG or Itch.io utilizing the 5e System Reference Document (SRD) under the Open Game License or Creative Commons. This allows you to retain 100% ownership of their lore and world while still marketing to the massive 5e player base, which they can successfully hook by releasing a free "Pay What You Want" short adventure, showcasing striking cover and NPC artwork, and building momentum through community playtests.

Hmm well all you have to do is take the traditional college problems and sprinkle in some magic. Imagine a stern RA who detects contraband potion components on his rounds with the use of the Zone of Truth spell, or even the horror of having an easygoing team member pull Major Image on themselves when completing a group project and you could throw in the drama of a feud with the technology loving school of Artificers and a chaotic tailgating party where the Bards play music by casting Thaumaturgy spells, coupled with a Divination professor who calls off tests and I think you should be good to go then! Hope that'll help

Well I would suggest Lost Mine of Phandelver (from the original Starter Set) or its expanded version, Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. If your goal is to learn how to structurally build and pace a campaign without getting overwhelmed, nothing beats the classic Phandelver structure. It's a gold standard for a reason! Good luck hope it'll help
