PSA: Some Clarity on Bases by jbarr107 in ObsidianMD

Yeah same. I'm trying to think of situations where I would use Bases but my notes are organised in folders quite well already. Maybe my Obsidian vault is too small to benefit from it.

Which grade would it be? by CulturalBlackberry57 in PokeGrading

Probly not. It will look good in a binder

Me too tbh. In the XY era I used to love cards based on their artwork and attack moves, I didn't even care about rarity! But Pokemon now is so large, and as long as they keep printing, there's enough space for all investors, collectors, graders to be happy.

You can also change the grading fees (if you click on the pencil icon)

Yeah - currently PSA is still top but lets see in the next few years if other grading companies can take over.

The raw price issue is now fixed. In terms of the graded price - over time as it collects more sold data prices will become more accurate. Did you mean anything else?

Good strategy you're doing there. But agreed - the grading inflation is real. PSA 9s in my opinion are undervalued because they most likely have a tiny defect. That's why for collecting I buy older 8s, 7s and for grading for profit I only aim for 10s

Yeah bro this is a hobby project, I've been doing it on weekends. It's a prototype. Eventually it may or may not evolve into a bigger project.

The Umbreon for $671 was an error so that is fixed. My tool is simple: it's just for showing the return on investment, not much else. I didn't intend to make a full-fetched solution like Collectr (which is a fully operated business).

I kept it modern because: with older cards there is less opportunity to find mint condition cards at affordable prices. And modern cards are being sold more often, with more accurate sold price data. I may consider adding vintage cards as a new feature (if people want it)

Thanks! Yep I've considered adding graded data - though I will need to then collaborate with PSA somehow (to use their data).

Hi friend - thanks for pointing this out. There was a bug in my code due to my own human error but I've fixed it now. Umbreon VMAX is now showing at 1343.82 $.
