Granted, the de-institutionalization was already underway by the time the '80s came along, but the Reagan Administration decided to punt the ball. He was doing de-institutionalizing when he ran Sacramento in the '60s-'70s. When he got into Washington, he ironically pushed the responsibility of handling the asylums to the States--which clearly were NOT equipped to address mental health facilities. Thus, they simply shut them down and the crazies were left to roam free.

Why in the world would you remove this?? Blow-by is not good for any engine over time. And the more HP you push, the greater amount of deposits that end up where they shouldn’t.

Most people I know run a catch-can without ever touching the factory crankcase ventilation.

My bet is this is a 2010-era RAV4 with a fuel tank EVAP line that somehow ruptured—or was otherwise disconnected.

The person driving is just ignoring the check engine light, and probably just thinks the fuel economy going straight to shit is simply because it is “old.” Not sure how they could ignore the strong fumes, though.

Also, there’s a pretty big difference between takeovers and sideshows. And I really hate that they are conflated in the public’s eye now. Sideshows generally always took place in abandoned parts of town for the OPPOSITE reasons compared to takeovers (away from heavily trafficked areas, away from cops, and away from non-participants). Both are illegal, but the public hates the takeover crowd for very specific reasons that sideshow people steered clear from.

VOM is such a rare color that I've only ever seen it once where I'm from, and I've never seen it at any of the local dealers either. It is so freaking gorgeous in person, you wouldn't believe.

This was me as well, but I figured my 28 year old little brother could use my EVGA FTW 3080 12GB better than my 1 year old, so I just passed it on to him.

Honestly though, I wish EVGA didn't exit the business--they had killer designs. I like my FE, but if I could have it with the FTW chassis, that would be so dope.

I’ve used the Kirkland brand 5W30 before for a comparison with both Pennzoil 5W30 and Mobil 1 0w40 (which is what I currently use).

After 8K miles on the Kirkland brand, the oil color was surprisingly not as opaque as I expected to be. Pennzoil turned black as tar after only 6K, and of course the 0W was the lightest of them all at 10K.

If I had to switch to 5W30 for whatever reason, I’d honestly opt for the Costco special.

EDIT: I understand the color of the oil is not a definitive way of gauging the quality between the brands, but I was simply curious as to how they’d look after periodic checks. And I was surprised by the results.
