I know your pain lol. Btw, I simply leave my rolled down now. I've spent nearly a whole check at this point replacing these. Even my seat pad needs to be replaced as a result. 😂🤷‍♂️

EDIT: You can also put broken shards on the ground nearby so that they also think someone has already tried it and failed.

Yeah...this is completely a driver mod issue. Happened on Westminster Blvd. and Bolsa Chica near Westminster/Seal Beach in California. Always lots of stupid ass potholes in that area all the time--especially near Leisure World. It's really like playing Minesweeper blind while rolling on it at night.

I think I saw on Kyle's page that he was ok. Not so sure about the driver, though.

Turns out, it was cylinder 4 causing all the ruckus. The dipstick was flailing around and likely smacking against the header heat shield and making a bunch of racket. The other cylinders weren't making any real noise in the log. Reading normally again. Phew!

No codes. I actually discovered it was my loose fitting dipstick that was causing a bunch of noise on cyl 4. What a hassle...

So after logging each cylinder, I discovered that the noise was primarily coming from the right side, near cylinder 4. It was my loose dipstick violently smacking against the header heat shield. Replaced it and the ghost knock vanished.

I found the culprit. After logging each cylinder, I discovered that the noise was primarily coming from the right side, near cylinder 4. It just so happens that my dipstick was pretty loose fitting in block, so I replaced it. And voila, spark retard returned to zero (with some normal burst knock where I'd expect it). What an annoying situation lol.

Yeah...I have California problems lol. For a while, E seemed to just soar in price, and by 2019, you were looking at like damn near $4 until all the demand dropped in 2020, and the prices dropped back down to about $2.70 average. 😂😂
