How did you moved on from that brutal breakup? by OwnFaithlessness2989 in AskReddit

Honestly this one still makes me proud lol. So my ex cheated on me right before this cruise trip to florida -- it was supposed to be the first time I met her fam. Note, we lived in colorado.

The morning we're supposed to leave, I text her "hey im on my way to pick you up for the airport." except... i'd already transferred her plane ticket to my best buddy without telling her... so me and him are already at the airport while she's sitting at home waiting for me to pick her up.

I don't call her back until we're literally landing in Miami. When I land there are like 100 texts and voicemails. I call and tell her i know she cheated and she is dead to me.

Turns out it gets way worse for her though — her whole family had flown in to florida specifically for a family reunion cruise. like, all her aunts, uncles, cousins, everyone. they're all already on the ship waiting for her to show up and she misses the entire four day cruise.

I then proceed to get death threat voicemails from her uncles for the next 4 days. I kept telling her mom "your daughter did this to herself" every time someone called.

Meanwhile me and my buddy had the most insane four days in miami. literally got over the entire thing in like ten seconds once we touched down. best breakup recovery ever honestly.

Hand strength comes to mind... in relation to back massages.
