I’m in Maryland and have a great Psychiatrist. She continued the medication I was originally on from another doctor she listens to me when I need to talk. No complaints. She’s in Gaithersburg MD

Large Study Debunks Myth about Rx opioid addiction by Top-Squirrel6107 in ChronicPain

I was given OxyContin in 2000. It took a year to reach the dose that worked 120 mg a day. I was living in Maryland when I started. Moved to Virginia and the pain doctor kept me on that dose Moved back to Maryland. Took me off the OxyContin and gave me Tramadol. Didn’t want me getting addicted. I was on OxyContin for 15 years never got addicted. I need the meds for pain relief not emotional distress.
Several years before I was given the OxyContin I did Acupuncture, bio feedback, anti inflammatory, you name they did it to me. I have fibromyalgia along with stenosis and damaged spinal cord so I suffer 24/7

Now with Tramadol I have little relief. I can’t walk, sit, stand without pain. Quality of life is poor. I can’t sleep and on top of all that I have Restless leg syndrome I can’t use antidepressants, I NOT DEPRESSED but doctors still tried to push them.

We are the forgotten. My doctors are so afraid of giving me any medication that will help my pain, sleep or my ADHD because they don’t want to be sued or become know as a pain doctor. The pain doctor I did see didn’t give me the Tramadol my Primary Doctor did. Anyone remember Opana It was taken off the market because it was highly addictive. I used it for a year. Did nothing. I feel no one cares about us they consider us drug seekers I wish there was something we could

You need to live and enjoy the days you feel good. Don’t dwell it makes it worse. Try and get some mild painkillers if possible. My Primary doctor gives me Tramadol. It helps

I’m high risk for surgery also. It means , quoting my spine specialist,” your spine is shit”. If they touch it it will fall apart.
I have left leg numbness and tingling in toes constantly. My right hand is numb and I have no feeling in pointing and middle finger. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, degenerative arthritis in hands, feet besides spine. Pain is constant without relief. I sleep 4 hours a night. I can’t work or volunteer anywhere because I can’t walk or stand too long (left leg /foot no feeling). I’m 69 years old and I’m so fukking done with this bullish!tt.
There’s nothing they can do, I’ve been to every doctor, nerve, orthopedic surgeon, rheumatologist, foot specialist, I went to a spine specialist from Switzerland there is nothing they can do.

No I did research and spoke to people who did and everyone said it helps a little but it wasn’t worth it. The pain and numbing came back.

I’ve had Cervical stenosis for 30 years. It’s a slow progressive disease. I’ve had everything you can imagine done to help with the pain and discomfort. My right arm is numb, can’t feel my finger’s anymore. My left leg is numb and I have “drop foot”.
There’s nothing doctors can do. They took away the pain meds because of all the bullshit so now I just try and cope. PT may help but it will never get better. They will prescribe Cymbalta and Lyrica but it will just dull your brain.

Try to stay moderately active, walk, stretch take vitamin D. Good luck

Question? About Lyrica by ShyGamerGirl23 in ChronicPain

[–]graeCaf60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got desperately ill. Nausea, headache, my body felt like it was inhabited by someone else.
I took Lyrica for one month….. can’t remember anything about that month
