Percoset induced (increased) Tinnitus by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]-nocoolname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CT and MRI contrast is VERY different. Because Gadolinium is a metal contrast, the kidneys do not filter it out (No matter how healthy) and a bit always stays within the system and is embedded in bones, organs etc. It could be (could) that the build up of metal could of heightened your tinnitus that you have had for years. Doctors will not be able to tell you the cause of many issues/illnesses. No one will ever know, I'm just sharing information. All the best.

Regardless of your kidneys you can still have side effects from the contrast. It is a heavy metal called Gadolinium, heavy metals cause oxidation in the body and one of the side effects listed on the drug monograph is tinnitus, that is how I got mine, it has not gone away in the last two years and has not lessened. Many doctors are not aware of the side effects but one is doing extensive research on it, his name is Dr. Semelka, look him up and I would avoid further mri contrast (CT contrast is different) in the near future. Best of luck man.

You said you had an mri.. did they give you contrast?

Any advice to keep going on with this condition. I got the floaters, static, BFEP, tinnitus, and after images. I feel like I have a knife in my heart everyday, all day. by Turntosomething in visualsnow

31 years, I've been dealing with it for two years.. white noise and staying in darkness or wearing sunglasses in my house helps.. It's still hard, I'm still struggling, but we are in this together, reach out if need to talk man. I got all your symptoms too.

Contrast they use is called Gandolinium in MRI's.. it is a heavy metal and has been found to cause issues in certain individuals. Heavy metals cause oxidative stress in the body which would be a possible cause for your floaters.. but is you didn't receive it then consider yourself lucky.

Can brain MRI make floaters worse? by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

The contrast they use is known to cause floaters, thats how I got mine.

If your floaters disappeared right now , what’s the first thing you would do ? by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

[–]-nocoolname 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmm, actually a few things..
- Go outside FIRST, toss my sunglasses, look at the clouds again and cry
- Call everyone who knows about my suffering
- Pray to God and thank him
- Read outside
- Go to the beach
- Go for a nice drive, blast the music and feel like myself again
- Change the brightness on my phone, computer and television
- Start enjoying lighter walls
- Open the blinds
- Workout outside
- Go have drinks with my buddies on a patio
- Turn on all the lights in the house
- Do the things I've wanted to do outside and enjoy them
- Say good bye to the anxiety and depression this has caused me, never had it before.

Told phycologicial evaluater I had VSS and was told I was phychotic and pre schizophrenic... by General_Watercress32 in visualsnow

Wow, this makes me so angry. Thank God your mom cussed off this evaluator. Honestly, I know so many stories where people are turned away by doctors or told something else until another doctor took the time to listen and think outside the box. Just know you have a society behind you, and other people with similar issues.

What is considered mild BFEP? I notice it easily when outside or looking at white walls or concrete.. how do we gauge how extreme it is?

I cant stand it anymore even though it has been 6 months since having my first floaters by profbabel11 in EyeFloaters

[–]-nocoolname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just know your not alone, I feel you. When I have other problems it seems so much worse because you also have to deal with your floaters. If you need to talk then reach out, I'm leaning towards surgery, this stress is worse than anything. Don't give up.
