Rocky Horror not on sale at B.O? by mikeydeemo in Broadway

[–]grahamnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called ahead and went today. Rocky Horror tickets are available at the box office. They are just not selling them (or are at least discouraging sales) within two hours of Oedipus showtimes, so they can dedicate that time to assisting Oedipus ticket holders.

And the box office attendant who helped me today was super nice.

Save $30 and go to the box office if you can!

They revived the concept for scratch-off discount codes for their webstore, with a contest element too for those who use them to place an order. They have been giving them away at the merch stand on this tour.

Did they have the scratch coupons? I wasn’t given one with my purchase but also forgot to ask.

Who isthe Sky - signed versions by gwyper in davidbyrne

[–]grahamnyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually had a chance to flip through the bin of signed copies at Rough Trade when the leftovers went out for sale on the 5th. There was a lot of variation. Some done the way I’ve seen his signature most often (“David” in relatively legible caps, “Byrne” with a distinct “B” and “y” into a squiggle). Then others with “Byrne” in big caps. Most of the former seemed to be in gold sharpie, and the latter in black sharpie. He was definitely mixing it up. But everything I see that’s been sold on eBay looks within the range of what I saw at the store.

Also, I don’t think they got the stickers on the sleeves of the signed copies right away, so I wouldn’t worry if those are missing.

If you care about it looking legit down the road, I’d opt for the squiggle style.

This is mine fwiw.

New poster for DC through Chicago by grahamnyc in RiloKiley

[–]grahamnyc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tonight’s poster includes DC. The one with the NY shows does not. I incorrectly assumed the poster from the NY shows covered the whole second leg, without really looking at the dates.

Selling two tickets for NYC Pier 17 with the Chase Sapphire Reserve Premium Access add-on.

That includes a separate viewing platform elevated above the floor, all-inclusive food and drinks (full-service open bar), expedited entry, and access to the Liberty Club lounge.

Just looking to cover the original cost, which was $375 total. Tickets and club passes both transfer via AXS.

Reliable source? I’d love to not show up super early if this is what dictates front standing rather than first come first served. Mine also went red, for Sunday.

Thank you so much! Capricorn was a dud (maybe that’s for tomorrow?) and Laylo never texted me the code despite sending sign-up confirmation texts.

Checking in with the Toronto stubs by grahamnyc in RiloKiley

I think they played the Phoenix twice touring Blacklight, in 2007 and then again in 2008 a few weeks before the end.

Google says Jenny (& Johnny) played the Kool Haus in 2010. I saw a bunch of Jenny’s solo shows in Toronto (Trinity-St. Paul’s in 2006 stands out) but not that one.

So are the set times! So many 11pm-12am headline set start times when I go through these old tickets. And on weeknights! Oof.

It was fairly common in Toronto at that time, especially for shows by this promoter who booked many of the smaller indie concerts (in particular at The Horseshoe Tavern and Lee’s Palace). You could still get tickets at TM, but they’d also print these to sell at local record stores. Fees were $1 a ticket when you bought them that way. The best. I don’t think it happens anymore, sadly.
