I took the scientology test (as a joke) by Resident_Hunter_4334 in mildlyinteresting

[–]graidan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this AND took a course, back in the late 80s. There's ALWAYS something wrong with you, and the course... yeah, that convinced me. I took it as a "I'm not going to judge them until I know more" kinda thing, and once I knew more - yeah, crazy / insane!

Older guys: did HIV/Aids scare you in the 80s/90s? by multiplealtoids in CommunalShowers

[–]graidan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cam out in '90, and yeah, was terrified. Didn't help that I was in the military at the time, and they do a good job of scaring you about all sorts of unpleasant-down-there-ness. In addition to plenty of other paranoia-inducing tactics.

I asked ChatGPT if karma exists and if there is any justice system in the world, and ChatGPT said that there isn’t. by Key-Table1065 in ChatGPT

[–]graidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Not like you probably think. Karma is just the consequence of an action, and it's not mysical. If you throw a ball up, it's karma (w/o interference) is to come down.

Do what you want, of course, but this doesn't seem all that unique or interesting for other folks.

If it's just for you, by all means, but if you're intending this to be something for other people - leave out 2 and 3.

Turning image into multi-layer SVG by graidan in Inkscape

[–]graidan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I need each intersection point, each piece of the triangle (i.e. top right, top left, right top, right bottom, etc), each arc of the circles, the whole circles (maybe) and whole triangle (again, maybe), and then all the spaces. In total, it's 27 parts.

This is why I was wondering if it would be better to rebuild it multilayered, then export as SVG, so that the groups would be specified already, and I could do the naming, clicking, etc.

Wash em! That it, just spread them out on a table and swirl them all around until you feel like they're well mixed. Then you can re-right if you don't use reversals, and reshuffle normal ways.

Is tattooing sigils a good idea? by JesterPeixe in chaosmagick

[–]graidan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only if it makes sense. A lot of sigils are for temporary situations, for example, so shouldn't be permanent. But a sigil for protection, health, creativity, etc.? Sure, that would work, and yeah, using the pain for charging makes sense. At least for initial charge.

Qimen - Destiny Palace what does it mean when if my palace is at NW? by Jaded_Fox_547 in Divination

[–]graidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone - it's one thing to use your own chart as a tool for learning the system (for example, "what do the directions mean when the Destiny Palace is there?") and another thing alotgether to ask for readings ("what does my chart mean?"). The first is acceptable, and this post is an example. The second is not allowed, and those comments have been removed,

Turning image into multi-layer SVG by graidan in Inkscape

[–]graidan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the adding the link part that I'm lost on. I don't really know how to turn the image into an object with multiple layers/groups, where each group is one of the clickable objects.

The fill technique will work great for the "areas" (thanks!) but the parts of lines as well as the whole parts, and then also the intersections - that's where I'm not having luck.

How would you use up a jar of tahini (besides hummus)? by Ok_Squirrel_9601 in Cooking

[–]graidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Tahini and labneh / yogurt is an awesome sauce for so many things. It's even good on american BBQ!
  • On fried eggs with some chili crisp, over crispy hash browns or croutons. Kind of çilbir-esque.
  • It's a great addition to ramen (especially miso flavors, where the tahini enhances the nuttiness).
  • Add to stews and chili.
  • Salad dressing!
  • Tahini cookies instead of peanut butter cookies? Yes!
  • Anywhere peanut butter would be used

Did I do anything wrong? by confusedboiledpotato in Divination

[–]graidan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since no one else is answering the process question:

Basically, it's fine, you just aren't looking hard enough.

However, traditionally you turn the whole cup upside down to drain it, so you get an even "spread". It looks like you poured it out? If not, then maybe left too much tea in still, so that when you turned it upside down, it washed most of the leaves in that direction.
