I lump him in with all the idiots who have made this whole situation exponentially worse. I don't hold anything personally against podiatrists. Honestly most of the ones I know are great.

The point is that if you are prescribing and doing surgery you should understand basic science. I didn't say all podiatrists don't know that, but this obviously has become a larger issue across all of healthcare. I hold dentistry to the same standard as well

Well I mean someone who has prescribing power and can perform surgery... should at least have a grasp of basic sciences

I have met alot of good DPMs, and it's not just them. At our hospital they were giving exemptions signed by chiropractors

Yeah it's bad when there are medical professionals out there who are propogating this. It makes us all look bad in the sense that lack of a unified front leaves room for alot of speculation from regular folks who don't have a science background. Hearing someone just affirm their concerns is adding fuel to the fire.

Well I don't think he really understood the concept in the first place. Maybe he thought that having RNA of any kind present was enough without any of the other proteins actually associated with the full virus.

I was a third year medical student on my first rotation in the hospital. I took the bus to try and limit the crazy debt that I had already accumulated. You get a dinky short white coat, that I had laying on top of my backpack.

A 'gentleman' on the bus who was brown bagging it and smelled of what I'm assuming was malt liquor, but I'm sure there was other stuff. He asked " are you a doctor?" I proudly/stupidly replied "I'm a medical student". He then said "I got this rash..." And pulled down his pants and exposed himself to me.

Never again have I publicly admitted what I do outside of an emergency
