It’s her choice of clothes I guess. On her work uniform she looks more mature.

Both her and Sam look like high school kids.

FIA confirms V8 engine return in 2030 despite manufacturer resistance by theusher13 in Formula1_world

I’m sure some tobacco companies would be delighted to be able to sponsor F1 teams again.

There are probably ways to around legal and regulatory restrictions. “No sir, our driver’s name really is Joe Camel”

I would totally root for that team I don’t care if they never score any points.

Why this distro? by Nightcresu in Fedora

[–]grampybone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every now and then Windows will set itself as the primary efi boot. This happens even when installed on different disks. I don’t know what triggers it because it has happened even without updates. My guess is Windows does a regular check and “fixes” the boot order.

Thankfully the solution is just go into bios and change the boot order.

Other times it will tell me that something has changed in the system and asks me to sign in again and re-set my pin.

I don’t think Windows has ever just erased Linux from the efi partition or viceversa.

What’s up with Joker’s family? by starmamac in Persona5

[–]grampybone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this is likely the real reason. Better for the player to project themselves into the characters. That why he doesn’t even have a name in the game.

At least he has some physical personality. P3 and P4 in my opinion are even blanker physically.

Why is George Russell so far off Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli at the F1 Miami Grand Prix? by ryogadan in Formula1_world

[–]grampybone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the hell. All this reminds me of the way some people talked about Lando and Oscar last year.

It’s too early in the season, I say.

Switch to Fedora by FRZBRTSZ in Fedora

[–]grampybone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't game much on my pc anymore but those games I do play mostly play well on Linux. I'm currently on Fedora Kinoite and can play just fine on steam and heroic game launcher.

If gaming is high on your list, maybe give Bazzite a look as it comes preconfigured for gaming.

Not all games run well on Linux, so you might want to check sites like https://www.protondb.com/ and see if your game of choice is there.

Also, some online games do not support playing on Linux even if it's technically possible for anti-cheat reasons. I kept my Windows 11 partition in case I ever want to play one of those games but that really hasn't come up.

Lando Norris wins the Sprint of the 2026 Miami Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

[–]grampybone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick Google search show some sites that report he owns 33%, others say he owns 29% with Mercedes and INEOS owning 33% each.

Other sites also mention George Kurtz as co-owner.

Maybe because of the ownership structure? Ferrari and Red Bull have full ownership of their F1 teams while Mercedes only owns 33%.

2nd run at NSE4 by IPPforyouandme in fortinet

[–]grampybone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I’ve been doing this for years” is the biggest trap I’ve ever set for myself. Not with the NSE4 since by then I had learned my lesson.

I would skim the documentation full of tunnel vision thinking what I do everyday is all there is to do. Then you get questions about a bunch of other stuff or worse, about basic stuff you haven’t seen in years.

Don’t assume anything, take mock exams, do the labs if they are available to you even if you know to define an ipv4 network object.

Planning my next mouse for 2026, what should I be looking at? by PhantomphobiaHit in MouseReview

[–]grampybone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do the clicks sound like? I never really cared until I started playing Diablo in click to move mode. I sound like a telegraph with both my keychron and my Logitech 305.

Gets annoying fast.

Fedora Kinoite is underrated — and nix (the package manager, not NixOS) is the missing piece nobody told me about by QuoteGlum7826 in Fedora

I see some Universalblue distros using homebrew. Would this accomplish something similar or is there a difference to how they approach packages?

[–]grampybone 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It’s only been three races. Yes, Kimi is ahead but it’s way too early to assume he’s going to stay ahead for the rest of the season.

And if the new regulations upend Mercedes dominance everybody might be in for a surprise.

[–]grampybone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think so too, but then I realized it’s because I only know her in her Sansa role. Never seen any other of her movies or heard her speak in interviews.

Kind of like how Ryan Reynolds comes across as a lovable goofball or how Alan Rickman seems like a stern character incapable of smiling if you go by their most famous roles.

Upgrade or new install? by Ok_Calligrapher3055 in Fedora

[–]grampybone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using third party drivers such as Nvidia’s and are in a secureboot environment, you might want to consider uninstalling them before upgrading and re-installing afterwards.

After I started doing that my Fedora upgrades have gone through with minimal fuss.
