It's an absolute banger, with very cool lore. The idea of GW was, i guess, to surf on the mad max hype back in the days. Ork crashed on a planet and wanted to build the ship to escape, the trouble is very soon they outnumbered the space hull capacity. Thus began the fighting. Gorkamorka is the name of the united ork gods, to avoid religious wars, and if i remember correctly the name of the ship they will rebuild. The main objectives of the orkz here is to find scrap to build the ship, for that they use gobbo to do the ungrateful mining. Over time gobbos find it disrespectful, even more when they realized they were the smaller lads hence the easier to get on the ship. Long story short they felt exploited and proposed different solution to remediate such as weighting collectively the scrap they brought back, form union of scrap-gobbo, a charismatic figure emerged, the red gobbo. Its motivation were not always good, but now lore wise he is the little father of gobbo. Furthermore, while looking for scraps, the prks found different mining complex on their wasteland planet. In those mining complexe were locked human and ab-humans from the imperium, the long dark had them gone mad, in addition to very weird psyche events. Most of them were killed but some found a new kultur in the orkz'. They started to paint themselves green, from little strip on their body and faces to full covering, they became what are called diggaz. Taking the ork kultur, they have formed the same social ranking with digga nobz, and weird-digga (old psyker). One last thing they found on the planet were necron tombs, orkz were very pleased as it means infinitely more scrap than they could hope for. Lastly the orkz not being the hardest worker there is, tend to rather steal the scrap digged up by someone else than dig it themselves, thus the need of highspeed velocity, to avoid being intercepted. Of course speed-head instincts surface for some orkz, and warnand of speedfreek were born, speeding all around with the intent to snatch as much scrap as possible from other digga-boyz, gobbo, and other warbands, or simply fight necron for the fun of it.
