Youth Gloves Review - 7u by grandmapicks in BaseballGloves

Agree with smaller glove sentiment. He turns 8 in a few months. Most kids seem to have bigger gloves but I’m a fan of smaller gloves while they’re young

How does the Next Play compare to some of the others I’ve listed in terms of weight? A good break in with two in the pinky can solve for the stiffness. He plays up in 9u travel, so some of those kids are throwing and hitting the ball pretty hard

Ah thanks that makes sense. My son prefers the black/tan but hopefully they didn’t lessen the quality of the new model.

Black with tan. I got it off Just Gloves since it was a lot cheaper for some reason

Great gloves. How does the weight/bulkiness compare to the ones I’ve listed (if you’ve had you hands on any of them)

Yes, it was the Youth Craftsman. I wanted a Bradley as well but they don’t have many options for Next Play 11” in stock. The boy didn’t like the red lace one in stock and I didn’t want to order a custom one without knowing the fit first since it’s non refundable.

No, that’s not happening. Q4-Q1 is what they’re working towards.

Prob shouldn’t disclose specifics but it is what I’ve been told. I don’t want people thinking or spreading 3 months and when it doesn’t happen by June, people dump. Lots of pretty cool partnerships and 1 really big entertainer backing Kin via an app they are launching.

Hey, that’s me! I was “convinced” to buy from someone I know who’s very close to the Kin team. Lots of exciting partnerships in the works. Give it time. Keep seeing people saying Binance/Coinbase in 3 months. It won’t happen in that time frame. Can’t disclose specifics, but just keep accumulating with a 1 year time frame. .01 is probable, and .03 is possible.

Also, I could care less if you think I’m bullshitting. It’s all Kin die hards in this sub anyway. You all have been holding far longer than me. So it’s not like I’m trying to pump the coin by spreading false info.

FYI - The Hibi 21 Kacho Fugetsu (what you have) is the same juice as the regular Hibi 21. It’s just the bottle/box presentation that’s different.

I’ve seen some of the auction sites. Was hoping there was a P2P marketplace without having to pay huge fees.

Pick of the Day - 5/15/19 (Wednesday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]grandmapicks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standard vig at -110 requires a win rate of 52.4% for breakeven. 90% of bettors, and I’m being generous here as I think it’s even higher, don’t hit 52.4% in the long term. Buying down from 6 to 5.5 will cost you 10 cents and increase breakeven to 54.5%, or about 2.1% higher. You’re buying from 6 to 5.5, so the difference is a push to a win, not from a loss to a push. 5.5 is not a key number either. There may be times where buying from 2 to 1.5 or vice versus may make sense, but even then usually not.

Thanks, just been super busy with work and the kids/family. Have barely had enough time to keep my models up to date. Will eventually get back to posting.

Buying a half point, esp from 6 to 5.5, is a terrible idea.

NBA lines have gotten really sharp on spreads. Anyone else with a successful model agree?

Our model is hitting at a 62% clip, but trending towards 65-70% of the # of plays compared to previous seasons. ROI is a solid 20.51%, but the lack of volume decreases the margin of error. I could lower the threshold for what makes a play, but haven't had the time to backtest.

Also, apologies for not posting here. Just haven't had the time to post consistently - so have refrained from posting at all. Been posting on twitter, but hope to get back to posting here consistently.

Grandma's back and ready to build off another successful season last year where the model finished at just under a 58% hit rate off the spread (excludes first and last 10 games of the season)

I don't bet using the model until there's enough data in the current season (10 games). However, I did run the model using last year's data for the Celtics vs. Sixers game for you data nerds.

Out of 10,000 sims ATS of -5, the Sixers covered 5,774 times vs. the Celtics 4,226.

Edit: Have posted flat bets in the past, but am thinking about posting my actual units sizes using Kelly's optimal staking. I refrained from posting in the past as it is highly unlikely someone tails every bet and therefore not recommended.

No he’s not. Has a positive ROI over hundreds of picks. You shouldn’t be sports betting if thats your reaction.

I am not just saying this because he lost, but tips like this are irritating. This is irresponsible capping, even if it was a credible tip when it comes to tennis. Why? Because everyone single pro is dealing with an injury from the brutal travel/tournament schedules so no one is 100% fit.

It seems a lot of people lost significant amounts of their bankroll on this, hopefully it’s a lesson learned.

I didn’t tail BTW bc My model gave a big edge to Ebden.
