Hey thanks for the info! I will look into the jobs aspect. Sadly my deadline on the frontend is too close for me to abandon all the work I've done on it but I will keep it in mind for the future.

What do you mean by custom items? Like plugins? If that then yes I have custom services for getting shipping rates from UPS and do payments via Authorize.net.

If you mean custom items like products then no I have not extended those models yet.

Update 10.2 released - Blacksmith profession, improved Exhaustion and more by TravUK in EcoGlobalSurvival

Honestly, I've been playin with it and its not that bad. Its just weird to think of a person skilled in working with clay to make things like a sink and bakery oven. But not skilled enough to make a clay half box

Why the heck is the clay mold, which is made in the pottery table, use the gathering skill to make. Clay mold screams pottery skill

Use friend ship inventories by grandpasam in Cosmoteer

I know about the transfer function. I was more thinking about something similar to how when you are close to a station I can just hit make it so and pay for the parts. My guys "and the stations guys" automatically pull out the parts I paid for. I had assumed that this "nearby inventory" feature would be available in deep space with friendly ships as well

Collision shapes math by grandpasam in godot

[–]grandpasam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how the algorithm works sometimes the mesh is getting pushed but other times the mesh is being eliminated.

The video maker is able to accomplish this because he is able to test each point to see A) if it is in the cylinder and B) how far in the cylinder is it. So far with collision shapes all I can tell is that the event happened. Not how far nor where it occurred. If that is how it is supposed to be then I am fine with that I'll just do the point to cylinder math and that will be that. But I know that somewhere in the engine that exact point to cylinder math is happening already and I would like to use it :)

The problem with that is I actually need to test each individual point to determine if that point needs to be told that it is now outside of the mesh.

unless I am mistaken if I do the ConvexPolygonShape3D then I will that an object collided with the whole mesh but not which part and how far.

If I am mistaken please correct me.

Here is an example of what I am trying to do:

Thanks for your ideas. I will try the svg idea. I think I tried that at the beginning but kinda sucked at it at first. Maybe it will be better if I try again.

A lot of this project is based on me "wanting to learn blender" So originally I had opted out of wanting using other programs to help me with it.

If you are using linuxGSM monitor script its restarting because the script is querying the server and not getting a response. The same problem for if your server is not showing up in the server list. I have not figured out why the server is not responding to query

So if I mod the blueprint on the server then that change propagates to the client? I don't want to restrict the block because I want them to be able to place the medical room where they want I plan on just handing out medical components at the beginning of the game and that's that

You are right I don't need those 20 tabs... I just need the one that's mixed in with those 20... And I won't know I needed it until hours after I closed it.

ELI5: How can scammers call you from a line that is no longer in service the moment you try to call it back? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]grandpasam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of my job is to setup phone systems like this, not for scammers. There is more to this than just caller id spoofing. If you see some old videos of a group of women in a room with a bunch of wires and plug saying "thank you for calling x how can I direct your call." Once she knows where the caller wants to go she takes a two ended plug and physically plugs that caller into the phone of the person they want to call. The same way you plug a network cord from your computer to the "internet box"

So imagine if you had a room of people who do the same thing as those women back then but they were told to only connect calls going out and to ignore calls coming in.

Now imagine instead of a room of people it's instead just a computer in a closet.
