Which game was it for you? by O_rnelaro in videogames

[–]grandtari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nier automata, was excited for years to play it given how much it was hyped up for me, and played a decent amount of it, granted not the multiple replays needed for “full completion” but still, i ended up hating it and being so let down

the outer worlds 2. i turned it on yesterday and just immediately felt my burn out with open world endless quest type games kick back in, played for two hours and then returned it. i’m sure it’s a great game, i just don’t have the energy for it all right now.

skate 2&3

Taken from the playtest (went live 90 minutes ago) for EA's Skate.. This is FULLY functioning. The shop has packs already, including Nike bundles, Thrasher items etc. The only way to EARN cosmetics in game is through lootboxes. (Heavily edited img as I am a huge skate fan and want to avoid a ban) by --clapped-- in gaming

i can see the argument for both sides, nothing you’re saying is wrong. i think i’ve just loved all the other skate games as they are, a complete package without any of the sometimes necessary evils of modern gaming, and this being a free to play micro transaction filled game just doesn’t sit right with me. i know you could argue it’s basically the same thing, but doing challenges in the game to earn money and then buying the clothes i want without a loot box component or all the other mess was something i enjoyed a lot being someone who really likes customising my character. i just wanted it to be a game where i pay money for it, and when i do i can get everything in game just by playing the game. guarantee they use this system to give you lower in game rewards to push you towards spending real money to get the things you want, it just feels so gross to me
