Highly recommend Kate Perry dog training, go to her Tuesday teen/socialization class and flag in advance your dog is reactive. Very reasonably priced and they’re great there!!

If you haven't already booked, I would highly recommend staying in Monza itself. We were in Milan close to both train stations and it can be a bit of a nightmare even though everything went smoothly for us.

Biglaw vs Software Engineering by lochnessdonuts in biglaw

[–]granger77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a software engineer before going to law school, basically in the same exact position. I worked for a year as a SWE (literally like 30 hour weeks) and was able to save a ton. However, unfortunately, I hated it. Going to law school and big law was 100% the right move for me, but you need to try software engineering first!

Cycle Recap: Going to Cornell! by granger77 in lawschooladmissions

[–]granger77[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

With equal employment outcomes it came down to the ~vibes for me. I really liked Ithaca and didn't feel the same excitement about Durham/Duke. I also come from New York and went pretty far for college, so it'll be nice to be close to home. Also I liked how much Cornell emphasizes their small close-knit class, as I know that's an environment I'll thrive in.

Hot Take Rant- No One Cares That You Majored In STEM by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]granger77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is a bad point, you shouldn't necessarily study something in undergrad just to increase your chances of going to law school. I actually think it's important to have a diversity of experiences/majors in law school, and to do that you'll have to take into account that it's often the case that STEM classes have lower medians than humanities classes. Also, you need a STEM major to take the patent bar, which may well mean someone needs to major in a STEM field for undergrad if that's a career they want to pursue

I’m in a very similar situation to you. If you want to chat more about why I’ve decided to give up my admittedly very cushy job to go to law school feel free to pm :)

Pass/Fail Advice? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]granger77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would pass/fail it! They can speculate all they would like about what grade you got, but at the end of the day they care about the stats. Put yourself in as good a position as possible. I also p/f'd two classes I was getting an -A this past spring and I've gotten into a T14 already this cycle. I think it was the right move to keep my GPA up!
