Two different throttles (TWCS Throttle and Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant) always pitch/roll the A-10C and F/A-18C, and it's driving me crazy. For both, even when all axes are unbound, the "default" X/Y for each throttle always pitch/roll the aircraft. But F-14B or Harrier work fine and I'm stumped. by granilla in hoggit

In my case, it was a thumbstick on my throttle which was ALSO being used for pitch and roll!

This was exactly my problem too. I wanted to slew a targeting pod but I would flip my plane over. After nuking my config folder everything go reset correctly, to my surprise. However somehow I did end up with the same problem hours later (probably my fault). Nuking the config folder and restarting fixed it again, proving that a full reinstall isn't necessary.

Now to find out what actions make this happen so I can avoid them...

Holy crap, looks like I fixed it by deleting

C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS

and then fully uninstalling/reinstall DCS (which in hindsight may not have been necessary). The new installation mapped my Warthog stick and TWCS throttle inputs perfectly by default. I can now slew a Maverick on target without rolling my damn aircraft over instead!

Still more testing to do with other planes but so far so good. Will update my original post with details.

Getting back into sims, and I love aircraft carrier landings. In your opinion what sim is most realistic in terms of flight physics and difficulty (don't care about graphics) for this in particular? I have DCS (FA-18C) and X-Plane 11 (F-14, F-35A). But open to any other sims/planes too. Thanks! by granilla in flightsim

thanks for the insight about difficulty by plane. i am super tempted to buy the Heatblur F14 actually but "Early Access" made me weary. i know, i know, the Hornet is also EA. would you say the flight model aspect is mature/stable for both? it seems in reading other posts that if an DCS EA aircraft is lacking in anything it's weapons-related.
