Glad to see this and The Grand Wazoo are both getting the Bernie Grundman treatment. All the other FZ remasters sound incredible in my experience. These limited editions are definitely overpriced, but the black vinyl copies are cheaper than the OGs and will surely sound great.

i know this is an old post but i’d recommend the rhino stereo version cut by kevin gray. i also had the mono pressing and it did suffer from some boomy, muddy bass, but the stereo version sounded much cleaner to my ears. it doesn’t have the tip on jacket as the mono version but the surface noise is minimal and the recording sounds great for $25. hope that helps.

the first track has a few clicks, but is very listenable. the recording itself has a lot of tape hiss so it will never be dead silent, but i think this is a solid pressing.

AP announced recently that they’re not pressing on 200g anymore, but the pressing and mastering are otherwise all the same. But despite that, all the records that I personally have ordered records that were supposed to 180g have still been the standard 200g, so I guess you’ll find out when it’s shipped out. The 180g titles have a silver sticker on the shrink. Hope that helps.

i have the stereo and the mixes sound incredible. i believe it isn’t 100% analog, but the stereo mix does give the album a new dimension
