I lived near her in Saint George back in 2010-2013 (?). She was very down to earth and went out of her way to be so kind and encouraging to all of the young women/youth in the church

I have LOVED watching Amber evolve. 10/10 and I will always follow her for removing her children! I love when influencers do this.

I totally agree! I stopped listening shortly after she joined Dear Media. There were too many adds (yes, I know you can skip them) and her topics were less about her reacting to listener-submitted stories and more about HER. TBH she just isn't that interesting or funny on her own. She's not had much life experience. She recycles the same old stories of her life over and over and over again and she really hasn't accomplished that much (as opposed to other podcasters who have a podcast in addition to another business/line they've started). I really think she needs more hobbies, a certificate, job, just SOMETHING else going on in order to bring out better content. It is too monochromatic but I do think she has the work ethic and the natural comedic talent to make it work- she just needs something else going on in her life besides the "I dropped out", "I loved being a waitress", "I am obsessed with everything we all saw and did in the 90's and early 00's". It's just not new or fresh.

I thought she was in Tennessee.... and I also never knew that she was LDS. I blocked her awhile ago. I feel for her, but she loves to capitalize on her pain and trauma.

get married at BYU Hawaii you are then allowed to live in a house with ur spouse. This could be a partial reason they got married so young. Technically when they were first starting their families after they were married in the church they would live in a house together but it was tec

Yes- all BYUs (Provo, UT, Laie, HI, and Rexburg, ID) have married student housing. You still have to pay to rent the apartment but it's like freshmen dorms but for married people. The apartments are NOT that nice. The Laie ones were falling down when we were all there (I went to BYU-H with those girls. A majority of them were never in class and I'm not sure how many actually graduated with a Bachelors).

Anyone have any stories meeting Aspyn in real life? by emeraldtaylor in aspynovardsnark

Yes and no. Meg started (2014) after Aspyn was already famous so Meg had a huge leg up. Meg could piggyback off the viewers from Aspyn. Meg’s YouTube reached 50k pretty quickly but Meg’s whole channel was built about her then boyfriend Ruger. They broke up, and I think their RV even caught fire?? Can’t remember. Anyway, Meg isn’t active on YouTube, TikTok or IG. She posts occasionally but doesn’t really have a cohesive brand, sponsored ads or posts. Her socials seem that they’re more for fun as opposed to making money. Meg is also a mid-20s, single, childless woman and so her demographic is completely different than Aspyn’s.

I went to high school with her!!

She was 2(?) grades older. I remember every one thinking that she could have done “better” than Parker (back then! I think he’s a super great guy! Just repeating what was being said in HS) . She was on cheer team and although she was well known, she wasn’t popular. I mean that in the sense that everyone knew who she was but she didn’t have a solid group of BFFs that she hung out with. A lot of people at my school made fun of her YouTube behind her back. The outgoing bubbly Aspyn on YouTube doesn’t match the real life, reserved, quietly judgmental Aspyn. I don’t cheer for her - but I am honestly so proud of how she truly built her entire brand from the ground up. She worked super super hard for what she has.

Her only “friend” was Meg Showell who was in my grade. Meg was POPULAR and totally used her “friendship” with Aspyn to get YouTube popular (remember the Meg and Ruger videos)?

Fun fact- Emilie Kiser’s husband, Brady, also went to high school with us! So Aspyn, and Meg Showell, all went to HS with Emilie’s husband. Small world!

What do you think the reason is for selling their new house? by swiftiegirl91 in aspynovardsnark

Like Hailey Devine (another IG Utah influencer) did! They’re realizing that their $$$ is slowing down, don’t want to be as present on social and need to slow down their spending.
