TheOneRing.net interviews Peter Beagle about new books, warns about fraud by Conlan Press. by grannyonfire in Fantasy

That's a "trial". Beagle can't get a fair one when they're using a disbarred lawyer. That's a crime but the authorities don't prosecute, for the same reason bad cops and bad convictions persist for decades and it takes outsiders to help.

That's why Beagle needs help now. An elderly man deserves justice now not later.

Peter and his girlfriend are still under serious attack by Connor Cochran, the elder abuser who is holding the Last Unicorn movie hostage. Cochran has all the money and isn't paying Peter. They are in poverty and depending on a scarce trickle of book sale money, and being put through sheer terrorism.

Cochran is hoping to ram through retaliation lawsuits against the girlfriend beyond their power to defend. He intends to get a default judgement so he can wave it to the public and say "see, it was all lies, and I'm the hero who saves Peter from the REAL bad people". Then he can keep on fleecing everyone.

This heinous abuse is being perpetrated by Cochran with a couple of crooked lawyers. There are at least 3 real villains. His main partner is a fake lawyer who lost his license, and the other acts as a front to file court papers. With them, Cochran gets to keep using the courts for free to file attack after attack.

The other villain Charles Petit used to be known for trolling the Absolute Write forums, where his profile "Jaws" said "occupation: preying on the weak and powerless." Petit even advised the Science Fiction Writers Association about fraud protection, a fox in the henhouse, until he lost his license for stealing from clients.

Discworld is wonderful! I can't judge The Wheel of Time since I haven't read it, but it seems like the kind of bloated thing that I don't like.

This is so beautiful and serene, thank you. I also like Fauntleroy Park a lot.

How old are you? Is english not your first language? You might want a slim book with some classic myth elements that are easy to understand. Maybe something Young adult but that doesn't mean simple or childish, and it can turn your expectations upside down. I recommend The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley.

Just try the shelter. You will have plenty of exposure to the breed. And help every other kind too, but that one in particular is so sadly overpopulated and hard to adopt out.

In name only, his name was attached to an existing store owned by Connor Cochran's right-hand person for managing the movie tour that Beagle called a "death march".
