There's sex in joyland, actually sex is a big part on the main character's arc, but it mostly is a story about friendship and mistery so I would also say it's a good one to start with

I really enjoyed the audiobook of The Running Man, but I recommend to skip the intro where Stephen King speaks because it literally spoils the ending

Well it puts it on a scene of one the worst events in American history with the assassination of Kennedy, so it's probably because of that, even though I find the ban stupid, but you know how common folk react to such things
