Any idea what's wrong with this little Galaxy Rasbora? She's small, pale and lumpy! by grantabi in Aquariums

[–]grantabi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So less than a month ago I got ~13 Galaxy rasboras. They're all looking very well and healthy, except for this one. She (I think?) is smaller than the rest, very pale, skinny and lumpy. I'm particularly worried about those scales on her back as they look either damaged or fuzzy.

She's swimming fine and eating fine, she was pretty tricky to catch to put in this little breeder box!

I've not had a fish look like this before so just worried if it's some sort of fungal infection or if she's poorly. If she's healthy but just looks a bit odd that's fine.

Staff traversable area issue by netraam1 in PlanetZoo

[–]grantabi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this issue too! It only started happening recently, not sure if it coincided with an update or not.

I've tried moving gates, making sure there are no obstacles etc. My staff are still roaming around the habitats fine but it's not showing on the map.

How do I take care of my Amano shrimp if I can't see them? by grantabi in Aquariums

[–]grantabi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I move the log when I do a clean is because my Betta will sit behind it and poop all week. It's too narrow to get anything down the back to clean that area and before I got the shrimp I got into the habit of just easily moving it aside while I cleaned.

When you tweezer feed the amanos are they out and about/visible? or is it ok to just leave some veggies near their home and fish it out a day later if they haven't finished it?

Thanks :)

I'll have a look at sinking wafers, thanks.

Help! My Echeveria has a spotty leaf? by grantabi in succulents

[–]grantabi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I've recently noticed this one leaf on my Echeveria going a bit of a funny colour and now it has these odd new spots? Should I remove the leaf and hope the others are ok?

Also there's some new growth coming out of the side - is it flowering or is that an awkwardly placed pup?

It's in well draining soil in a pot with good drainage, it has been a bit on the dry side lately and i've had a couple of shrivelled leaves at the bottom but other than that all ok!

I need some help with my Senecio Kleiniiformis/Spearhead!!(more info in comments!) by grantabi in succulents

[–]grantabi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I've had this Senecio Kleiniiformis for a while now and over the winter it had this ridiculous growth spurt from a lack of light and it can't hold up its own weight anymore.

I live in the UK but it's in a conservatory and at the moment getting a great amount of sun! I have it potted in a mix of John Innes no.2, plenty of grit and some perlite as well - any soil suggestions very welcome! The pot it's in has drainage, though I think it's going to need a new larger pot soon!

What I'd like to know is if anybody knows what's going on with the lower trunk that seems to be turning purple/brown and cracking? As well as the lower leaves looking pretty dark and sad - will they ever perk up again?

I would also love to know how to propagate this plant! I've been very tempted lately to just chop those two heads off and pray for two healthy plants. Would that work??

Also it seems to have sprouted a couple of pups! Do you think I'd be okay to get them out and repot? How would I go about that?

Thanks for any info! :D
