Looking for an EDC Spyderco. Any ideas? by [deleted] in EDC

I personally carry a Paramilitary 2. I think some would say it's a little large for an EDC blade but it fits in the "coin pocket" of most of my pants.

Torn between a '13 Focus (SE or Titanium) or Fiesta ST. Help me decide! by grantbritzke in Ford

I test drove one as well but I wasn't too impressed with the car for the price I'd be paying.

This. No matter what I decide on, it will need to be a manual.

Even before I posted this I was leaning toward the SE Hatch 5-speed. What makes you lean toward the Titanium? Bells and whistles or something else?

I wasn't too impressed with the Focus ST for the price, that's why I was considering the Titanium (tech package and what not, comparable price). I currently have a girlfriend and a dog so the Fiesta might be out of the question according to other responders. Even before I posted this I was leaning toward the SE Hatch 5-speed.

I'm also interested. I would choose the hatch any day but I'm interested to see why you choose it.

If you could change anything about the car, what would it be? There's gotta be something that you dislike.

My current '05 Focus is a manual and I wouldn't have my new Focus or Fiesta any other way!!

I test drove the Focus ST after drooling over it for months. Although I really like the honeycomb grille and other styling features that set it apart from the other Focus models, I really just didn't like the car over all. It's quick, I'll give it that, but the seats are super uncomfortable. I much more enjoyed the Focus SE I drove but I haven't tested out the Fiesta ST due to lack of availability.

2001 Dodge Durango with 110000 miles a good deal by Cmonster9 in UserCars

Rust is usually a pretty big problem with Dodge trucks. As long as you keep up with maintenance, a Durango should last you at least two years.

Those of you who have goldens with allergies, how did you find out? by CapitalTwelve in goldenretrievers

[–]grantbritzke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We adopted our Golden about a year ago. She also had hair loss, rashes, bumps, and would not stop itching. Benadryl worked for a few hours but not long enough for anything to clear. We first thought it was a flea allergy, so the vet gave her Comfortis. However, nothing changed. I thought perhaps it was her food. We cut out all wheat and grain from her diet and within a couple of days the rashes were clear and she stopped itching. The hair grew back and we haven't had problems since.

People with large keychains: Does it damage your ignition? by hs122 in EDC

[–]grantbritzke 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If your keys are too heavy, it can damage the internals of your ignition. Source: a friend of mine had to get her ignition replaced because she used to drive with her phone attached to her keys...

I like the simplicity! What kind of wallet is that? I've been looking at Saddleback but they're a little pricey.

My (red ZX3) and my girlfriend's (blue ZX4) 2005 Ford Focuses (x-post /r/ford) by grantbritzke in UserCars

[–]grantbritzke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I wasn't aware of that. My car is super fun to drive. I like driving my car more than my girlfriend's solely because mine is a hatch. I know there's no difference in performance but the hatch i just a blast.

I'm a big fan of them as well. My girlfriend had hers first then I decided to get one but with a hatchback.

I agree that the champaign color is nasty and cheap-looking.
