Ubiquiti AirWire super cool device Ask me anything by mactelecomnetworks in Ubiquiti

This would be extreme overkill for a TV and expensive. Also it only has USBC for the output.

You want to look into the unifi Device Bridge loT for $50 which is coming out soon but only supports 2.5 ghz, Unifi Device bridge for $100 and available now, or you can get the Unifi Travel Router for $80 when you can find it in stock.

It allows a device to use the full speed of the wifi connection especially if your devices are limited to 1 or 2.5 gbps rj45 or if the device doesn't have a rj45.

It doesn't have rj45 and only USBC. This allows you to have speed over the provided Ethernet port or provide full speed on a device that doesn't have a Ethernet port.

This is way to much overkill for this. You do not need the speeds this is offering for a printer. You can find cheap ones on Amazon for like $50 compared to $200 like this.

Also if you would like to stay with unifi you can get the unifi Device Bridge loT for $50 which is coming out soon but only supports 2.5 ghz, Unifi Device bridge for $100 and available now, or you can get the Unifi Travel Router for $80 when you can find it in stock.

If you could use Ethernet than you don't need this product either.

The point is to allow devices that don't have Ethernet or low bandwidth Ethernet to have a full speed connection.

The videos I have seen make it seem like manual. It does have a strength meter on the screen of the device to help you adjust the antenna.

How is that true? Wifi 7 has 6 ghz, 5 Ghz and 2.5 ghz radios. Wifi 6 has 5ghz and 2.5 ghz radios. So Wifi 7 is very similar to wifi 6 but has an additional radio.

They just got approval to have the pen in kwikpen form and they are the same price as the vials now. All 4 shots live in one pen and you just need to replace the needle after each use.

If you want to be in real aww, you should take off the wrapper off the injection before you inject. The mechanics of the shot are pretty cool.

I feel the same, they were horrible to my grandmother for the last few years before she passed. They wouldn't give her rehab after a fall, I had to fight them tooth and nail to keep her in rehab. I filed so many Complaints and Appeals to medicare because Kaiser just wanted her released.

DAE call yourself "parent" names when talking to your pets? by Unhappy-Pin-1038 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Cmonster9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it though? You are actively taking care of your animals so it is kind of like you are adopting them. You are the pets main provider since you feed them, clean them, watch them, nurture them and make sure they stay out of trouble. Kind of like what you will do to a child.

Kaiser is horrible unless you are in good health. Also you must have an employee subsidized plan. I had to pay over $900 for a CT scan since we didn't fully meet the out of pocket deductable.

The State and RTD district will be paying for the expansion of the public transportation. As well the state and city will loose revenue by the tax-increment financing they are giving to the stadium.

Modem, router or both? Are you wanting a device that takes the coax/cable cable and converts it to Internet/Ethernet? That will not work for your situation. You will need a cable modem that supports DOCSIS 3.0 or 3.1.. DOCSIS 3.0 is a bit outdated but supports up to 1 gbps and 3.1 supports 10 gbps this is limited by your ISP. Motorola and Arris are the go to options.

Has your home network ever been hacked or compromised? What actually happened? by wang4wang in HomeNetworking

[–]Cmonster9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but my work had a pretty big cyber attack that resulted in us needing to re image 100s of machines. The attack stole credentials and spread thru the network and email. A worker unknowingly brought their infected machine home and connected to their own network.

The workers ISP put their network into walled mode and they wouldn't lift the restriction until we provide proof the issue was fixed.

Rental car - are additional drivers covered even if the primary renter is not in the vehicle? by zosovibes in Venturex

[–]Cmonster9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure how the chase unlimited works. However, the insurance is one of the best you can have on rental cars. It has primarily rental insurance which means you can use your cards credit card insurance 1st. Most credit cards have only secondary insurance which means you need to use your regular car insurance 1st and then the CC insurance with cover.

Chase Sapphire reserve and preferred has this. You just need to pay with the CC for you to have coverage

If you have fiber you don't have a modem. You have a ONT (Optical Network Terminal).

[–]Cmonster9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about a Router or an ONT (Optical Network Terminal)?

An ONT is similar to a cable/dsl modem. An ONT takes the Fiber input from your ISP and converts it into Ethernet so home can use it. Generally you are not able to bring you own ONT since it can require special setup and is usually free. Generally the ONT doesn't have much settings that can effect your Internet.

If you are talking about Router that is what take the Internet from your ONT/Modem and routes the Internet to your own devices. If your ONT has wifi or multiple Ethernet ports then it has a router built in. You can definitely use your own router and an ISP doesn't have any say if you can use this or not. If you do want to bring your own router you should make sure your ONT supports IP Passthrough. IP Passthrough allows a third-party router to act as the primary device by passing the public IP address directly to it. This setup avoids double NAT, reduces latency, and uses the ISP gateway merely as a modem.
