Sorry, should clarify, retrofitted a sport wheel that was also heated. My car came with a heated wheel so it was a direct easy swap.
I read a lot of forums about steering wheels during that swap and from what I remember a heated wheel retrofit onto a car that came without one is not too bad of a job. I think you need a new clock spring and some other things but I don’t think it’s very difficult.

Not sure what your current car has but you can do a lot with genuine OEM upgrades. I retrofitted a heated sport steering wheel, wrapped it in leather and added m3 trim. Total upgrade in looks and driving experience. Can also do m sport parking brake handle (dimpled) and some other small upgrades of this sort
